Dear ESTW,
Thank you for your comment.
We certainly understand the inconvenience this may have caused if this router is not WISP capable. For a WIDSP capable ASUS router, you may want to try the RT-AX57 Go: https://www.asus.com/us/networking-iot-servers/wifi-routers/asus-wifi-routers/rt-ax57-go/. Should you need further assistance with the product, please email me at cl-rodel@asus.com and I would be more than happy to help. Or, you are most welcome to call Product Support Hotline at: 1(888) 678-3688. Also, you can chat with an ASUS live support agent from the link: https://www.asus.com/us/support/article/1135/.
Thank you for choosing an ASUS product.
Regards,
Rodel

So far, so good. I have other ASUS routers, but I have had trouble with one of the others I have had. It is currently in for repair. But this one seems to work just fine. I got it for the support of the Gigabit systems as we are getting fiber in the area soon. I won't know how good it is for that until they finish installing it, but I am hopeful! This router is fast, and the coverage area is wide (my house is 2400 sqft and it has complete coverage. I have it hooked up to another ASUS router as a Mesh in the garage, and all the devices on that system are working just fine. I also use it to keep my son from being online 24/7... the family and security features are all up and working. It monitors the QoS and makes adjustments and keep things optimized. I'm happy with this one, even if I am not happy with one of the others I have tried.

Easy and fast set-up. Replaced an aging Airport Extreme. Plays well in the Mac environment and all HomeKit (smart home) devices work consistently. Easily covers 3500 sq ft 2 story house

I notice an immediate increase in my internet speeds and coverage area vs. my old router. Now I can get faster connections in areas of my house that I could barely get signal before.

Set up was a breeze. I configured this router as my primary AIMESH Router since it has better features then my GT-AX11000 (which was my old primary router). This router provided better thru puts thru my Spectrum 1GIG service. During the setup I did run into a WAN connectivity issue, which in the instructions it stated that if I am using a cable modem, and cannot connect, power off and reboot the cable modem. This worked perfectly. Once this router was up and running, Adding my 5 ASUS nodes took some time, yet worked as expected. Since two of my nodes are older RT-AC88U's, I left the authentication security level as WPA2 since they are not capable to work with the new WPA3 security level. Eventually I will replace these RT-AC88U's in order to gain the full security benefits of WPA3. In total I have 63 WIFI and hard wired devices on my network (This includes WIFI light switches, thermostat, power plugs, garage door opener, sprinkler system, and whole Home RING security system with multiple motion sensors, door and window sensors, and 8 camera's. With all of these devices, my TV streaming and play-station gaming never had any buffering and or dropped connection. I highly recommend this router since it made an increase in my other ASUS nodes performance.
