Setup is confusing and the setup instructions don’t help. My iPhone and iPad NEVER reconnect to my Wi-Fi whenever I return home. I must turn off Wi-Fi on my device then turn it on again to connect. This problem also occurs randomly throughout the day. Customer service is nonexistent.

I setup the router using the ASUS Router App. The app asks you to choose PPPoE or DHCP or Static. I wasn't sure so I choose PPPoE and I couldn't connect to the internet. I had to call ASUS Support that help me change it to Auto. Otherwise the new WIFI speed went from 260 mbps to 662 mbps. While good...I was hoping for a little higher since xfinity plan is 1.2 gig.

As a router or AP it seems pretty good. 6ghz band is weak though. BUT aimesh is awful. I set it up 2 of these as master and a wired 2.5gb aimesh node. I must schedule a reboot every night or the node goes offline and can only be brought back online by reboot. Still have to reboot now and again anyway. Wifi shuts down and restarts randomly. Particularly annoying with roku and streaming. My internet speed is 1.2ghz so bandwidth is not the issue. Few devices actually connect to the node even though most of the devices are in the same room and the master is on the other end of the house and on another floor.but for all I know more devices are on the node than asus-wt shows. Example, tablet shows connected to master initially, but turn off and back on wifi on tablet and it connect to the node 6ft away now, but it still says connected to master. The app, wifiman shows if the node is being used or not. Also no firmware updates in 9 months, and firware is clearly unstable.

Most of my devices keep dropping offline due to the incredibly poor range of this router. I am returning it.

If connections from your devices are dropping, please verify the PC or devices connecting to the router is working properly and within range to the router, the router is within 30 feet to the ISP's modem, if not wired by a network cable, and ISP's internet service or connection is working properly or stable. When wireless connection drops, please run speed test in to determine if this is an ISP or a router issue.

This router is the worse. I buy ASUS products a lot but this is the first product from ASUS that is pure junk. It drops the signal constantly and all my Bluetooth items all run worse since I bought this router.

Doesn't have WISP capability so I returned it and bought a Travel Router

So far, so good. I have other ASUS routers, but I have had trouble with one of the others I have had. It is currently in for repair. But this one seems to work just fine. I got it for the support of the Gigabit systems as we are getting fiber in the area soon. I won't know how good it is for that until they finish installing it, but I am hopeful! This router is fast, and the coverage area is wide (my house is 2400 sqft and it has complete coverage. I have it hooked up to another ASUS router as a Mesh in the garage, and all the devices on that system are working just fine. I also use it to keep my son from being online 24/7... the family and security features are all up and working. It monitors the QoS and makes adjustments and keep things optimized. I'm happy with this one, even if I am not happy with one of the others I have tried.
I would recommend this to a friend!
