Good router overall

Good product overall with a few caveats. Seems to have so e WIFI issues with Szmsung Tab S8 Plus. Random infamous exclamation point WIFI symbol. Not sure if if is on the tablet or router side but did nof have this issue on my old Linksys WIFI 5 router. Also wish App would show WIFI type and ethernat indications on connected devices. Throughput and signal coverage seems very good. House is ~2600 sqft 2 story with router near ceiling on bottom floor.

Good coverage and packed with features

This router provides the best coverage for my ~2,000 square feet two-story home. I upgraded from my Netgear R6700 and have 500 Mbps/20 Mbps internet from Spectrum. This router is packed with quality of service (QoS), network security, guest network, VPN, and much more features, making the router a good value.
However, my devices are rarely connected to the 6 GHz band, which was my main purpose of getting this router. I've reset this router several times, which temporarily gave my devices Wi-Fi 6E connection instead of just Wi-Fi 6, but now my devices are back to connecting to just the Wi-Fi 6 standard. I also dislike the way that ASUS placed the WPS push button, reset button, and power switch under the router.

Very Fine Router

The RT-AXE7800 is a very fine router. It needs some firmware updates but otherwise is works as advertised. The main issue I have is that the 6G band is slow in returning after sleep.

Speedy Router

I finally replaced my 10 yr. old Cisco router with the Asus 6E and it does not disappoint. The hardware setup was quick and easy. After I created the guest accounts I was up and running in about an hr., including reconfiguring all my home devices scattered around a 2,700 sq. ft. space with two floors and a basement (2 TVs, 2 ROKUs, 2 Blu-ray players, a printer, and 4 security cameras). Then I tested the throughput on the 5G guest accounts and they all managed download speeds of 150-180 Mbps. No drops. I’ve a lower speed ISP plan (cheaper than 6G) so my devices cannot take advantage of the 1 Gbps but I’m still happy with the purchase so far.

This is a well-equipped router with a very good throughput performance and lots of features. My main area was being able to connect to a Motorola MB8600 on two Gigabit ports for WAN port aggregation. This router rocks the speeds both on WiFi and wired networks and supports it all. The only con I can point are the availability of ports. I would have liked more Lan ports as well.

This replaced a Netgear rax120. The first thing we noticed was the range was much better. The Asus app has more configuration options and is just better than the Netgear app. A huge plus is the free router security that we used to have to pay for. If your looking for a good router for 2500sqft+- home that is not too expensive, this is it. I was between this one and the much more expensive wifi 7 routers. We only have one device with wifi 7 so this was a good buy for us to replace a 4 year old router that was starting to drop connections. Not having to pay for router security made going with Asus an easy choice.

This is a nice router but a bit slower than other brands in the same class. That said, the included configuration software is far superior. The fact that you can create a private cloud is very helpful to me and can easily replace DropBox for my purposes. The only reason it does not get 5 stars is because if a GUI bug in accessing AiCloud; that currently makes it unusable. Hopefully there will be an update soon to fix this.
