I bought this machine 5 years ago. 6 months later the machine started steaming on the inside. With the warranty, Breville was nice enough to give us a brand new machine. However, 6 months later, the same happened to the second machine. This happened every 6 months with every new machine. We do not abuse the machine. We followed all the instructions, including descaling and cleaning. Max coffees per day with 3 adults, is 6 coffees. 5 years later, we are asked to pay $500 to send and repair the machine.
In conclusion, this will he our last Breville machine.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works great. Takes about 15 minutes before you can steam. Love that I can make a flat white in the time that it takes to pull a shot of espresso. A good quality grinder is a must to take full advantage of this machine.
