Looks nice but I regret buying

I really want to like this monitor and when it works its great. But like others I have a consistent problem with Thunderbolt in a dual monitor configuration. After receiving a signal, one or both monitors will freeze up with the menu staying on the screen. The menu will not disappear and cannot actually be accessed. This means that the monitor cannot be powered off without unplugging it, which is the only way I have found to correct the problem. I might have to unplug the monitor 3-5 times in order to get it to work properly. Doing this every time I want to use my computer is a huge inconvenience and makes Thunderbolt more trouble than it is worth. You would think the problem could be fixed with a firmware update, but there is no update. I regret choosing this monitor and will not purchase another monitor from Samsung.

Unreliable, Black boxes with ‘Eye Saver’ or ‘USB C

Have had for at least two months, extremely disappointed. Black unresponsive screen, constant black boxes on screen that can’t be controlled by computer and block mouse activity. Eye Saver, Register product etc. Bought this for compatibility with a new Mac Mini. After several bouts, with inactive monitor I’m convinced it’s monitor/connectivity issues.

Does not work right with Mac Mini

Using the latest Mac Mini via USBC this monitor is unreliable, works at 1st but then becomes completely unresponsive after 4days of use. Only thing that gets it back is to unplug it and apply a hard restart the mac.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works but unstable and needs rebooting frequently

I bought two of these about 4 months ago, and they works OK but have some internal firmware stability issues. It frequently locks up such that it has on-screen displays stuck on the screen or even just nothing, and does not respond when it needs to change settings, etc. I have also had issues with the ethernet port on it stopping to function after some time. The only fix seems to be power cycling the monitor.
I wish it worked well because other than this stability issue I love the features and the display.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A Very, Very Good Monitor

This monitor arrived about 3 weeks ago and so far it's excellent. I'm connecting it to my MacBook Pro through Thunderbolt 4 and it works perfect including charging the MBP. I haven't checked color yet but at first look it is very good as factory calibrated. My only mistake was to not purchase the 32" model thinking it was going to be too wide. The bezel is so small that the 27" looks like an old school 24" and the 32" probably looks like a 27".
I would recommend this to a friend!
