[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ThinkBook seems to be a perfect compromise between quality and features, and price. It's a solid family or business laptop. I would highly recommend a ThinkBook to any one looking for a quality laptop an affordable price.
It works well with my Levovo Thunderbolt 3 docking station to setup multiple screens using the USB C communication port (which is what the ThinkPad also uses for it's main power supply cable), which I typically use for my Thinkpad CAD machine.
I've tried several of the cheap $400 to $600 entry level laptops, and they never seem to last more than a few months prior to having some type of issue that makes them run like molasses. With this ThinkBook coming in around $750 to $850 (if decently equipped), it is well worth the extra money.
The ThinkBook is a large step up in quality and general feel compared to the IdeaPad my wife's work just bought her. Don't know why any business would opt for an IdeaPad over the ThinkBook. The couple hundred dollars in upfront capital cost they save with the IdeaPad will just cost them many thousands more in in down time.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this for personal general use at home and on the road. Couldn't be happier. Plenty of speed and storage for the average user, light gaming, and small business use. Video is seamless and smooth, audio is crisp and clear, and the battery life is very good (4 hours or so with constant use).
Slow, I am returning it. Technical support was no help either.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
