[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought for my son going to college. It has been a great computer for him. He loves the functionality and extras—lighted keyboard, number pad etc. I’m very happy I found this computer for him.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] College Student Perspective: It's not going to win awards or blow someone away but it does what it needs and the quality is decent. The speakers leave something to be desired so i suggest a pair of headphones. The IO is excellent, except for the fact that the only usb-c (and therefore charging) is on the left hand side, making it awkward to charge from an outlet to your right. I paid 850 for this and that feels right. I would not buy at full price.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Laptop has a great value for performance to price ratio. It's equipped with i7 processor, so for price below 1000$ is great.
However little disappointed with battery life. From fully charged, half an hour later it drop to approx. 60% , when using for internet browsing and Word typing.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This computer does what I need it to do. However, the MacAffee software was a big hurdle in getting my remote work software in order. The software seemed to be the culprit of first stalling and halting all programs, and eventually not letting my computer startup at all.
I had to have my employer's IT dept help in sorting it all out.
When listening to music or doing anything with audio, the speakers make a "buzzing" noise and freezes momentarily while doing so. For having spent a good amount of $, it is not worth it to have speakers that don't work and freezes the laptop.
I even got a replacement for the original one that I bought because it was doing this, but even the replacement does the same thing. Therefore, it is an issue with all of these laptops. I do not recommend. My $200 Samsung chrome book can handle more than this laptop.
