Horrible product and customer.service

I purchased an ice machine Sept/Oct of last year. Within a few months it was making a screeching noise. I contacted customer service (Fern) who made replacing the unit very easy. I received my new until quickly. After a couple months this unit was no longer making ice. I again contacted customer service (again someone named Fern) I asked for a refund this time. I have sent more the 20 emails to this Fern person. I have been getting the run around since Dec. I have been told they "tried" to refund my money. To we will mail you a check. TO a suposide supervisor being contacted about this multiple times. I would be cautious if buying anything from this company. They obviously don't stand behind their products let alone their word. I guess they just hope I'll forget about my money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great chewy ice maker!

Newair did it again. This is my 3rd Newair product and they have not disappointed again. Makes a full tub of ice in about 3 1/2 hours. Ice is just like the "Sonic" ice that we all love. Would recommend to anyone looking for this type of ice maker!

Struggle to get refund and still waiting 3 weeks out!

Excited at first but quickly were disappointed as the ice was mushy & did not stay frozen long. Not enough for our use. When asking for a refund getting a shipping label took multiple calls & emails. NOW over 3 weeks STILL WAITING on refund. The refund time keeps getting extended out!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

All in all, I'm in LOVE with my ice maker!! Pros Fast and easy setup, right out of the box Easy to use and easy to clean Great for everyday use, but also fantastic for entertaining. Creates up to 45 pounds of ice per day CONS The size of the NewAir Sonic Speed Nugget Ice Maker, AI-420SS, doesn't always fit on traditional countertops. It's dimensions are: 15.5"D x 10.63"W x 16.33"H You have to hit the button twice to restart making ice (Not an inadequate function, just not automatic) The fan is a little loud, but nothing too horrible. It doesn't have a water line connection; however, in kitchens like mine, that is more of a Pro than a Con.
I would recommend this to a friend!
