[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We installed our Bosch 800 Series hood as part of a kitchen remodel. While it seems like the fans blow fine, it doesn't seem as powerful as you would expect. I'll give it a couple of months and see what I think.

Fairly quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Also have the 36" benchmark induction cook top. I bought this hood insert because of the home connect and be able to link them together. The downside is the hood doesn't always come on when I turn on a burner on the cooktoop like it's supposed to. It turns on the light every time I turn on the cooktop but when I turn on a burner, it's hit or miss if the fan will turn on. I even put a mesh point from my WiFi router on the other side of the wall that the hood is on, so only a few feet away, still only works like 30% of the time. Try disappointed in this very expensive hood. Obvious flaw.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice ventilation, poor lighting

I bought this a few months ago and the fan generates a lot of airflow and is nice and quiet compared to the old non-Bosch unit was replaced it with.
The lighting isn't good on this model as it shines straight down on either side and leaves the center of the stove dark. Fortunately, we had other lighting around the hood so we don't need to use the built-in lighting. I'm not sure what the designers were thinking with the lighting!
I would recommend this to a friend!
