I always used to buy after market cartridges because they were much more affordable. But last time I did that, the after market one didn't work. The printer said it was a non hp cartridge. Apparently there's a chip now that blocks non HP cartridges. So I bought an HP cartridge only because I was forced to. But as soon as this printer dies, I will replace it with a non hp printer. This way HP can't force me to buy their expensive cartridges.
It will be some time before I need this. I bought it since the last printer ran out of ink and I couldn't find a new one. This is in case. Hope you can understand that.

I placed this order to begin setting up an HP LaserJet Pro 4001dw Wireless Black & White Printer, Best-for-Office (2Z601F), which had broken and was replaced with a refurbished one. I had a subscription with Instant Ink, but the HP 148A Black Original LaserJet Toner Cartridge from the subscription didn't fit the one I received. Finally, I bought it, and in the end, I can no longer add this printer I received to my HP Instant Ink subscription. I want the amount paid to be refunded and my subscription to be properly configured so I can continue using and receiving the HP 148A Black Original LaserJet Toner Cartridge for the service I had with HP. In any case, I am VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE SUPPORT GIVEN BY HP AND WITH THIS REFURBISHED PRINTER.
Really not much you can say about this. If the printer runs out of toner and stops printing, you swap out the old cartridge with the new one, and it starts printing again.
