Amazing Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a extra easy product to set up and manage, quite surprisingly. Once I set it up the camera picture was very clear. This product is well worth the purchase and for a non-IT person as myself it is overwhelming or too much. Great product to ensure your property is safe.

Great system!

It has enough cameras to capture many angles of our property. With thefts being more prevalent now, we feel much safer having this system. It was very easy to install and view.

Excellent First

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So.. .a long story made as short as possible. This is my husband's and I first ever camera for ho e security either outdoor or indoor. 12 Channel 4K DVR with 1 TB HDD and 4 x 4K Wired Light Cameras is the system that we set up. It is most definitely not as hard as we made it to set up. The fact is him and I can't even make a ham sandwich together LoL. Anyways it's a pretty cool system. Almost easy to install (depending on who you have help you), very easy to use after installation, and quite cool. I mostly use it to watch the wildlife in my yard at night or daytime and it's quite easy....actually I spend far too much time wating what these cameras show me. And I know it's probably not relevant but my favorite things to watch on the dvr is this Coopers Hawk I named Nancy and these two Great Horned Owls (no names for them!) Who are natural enemies. I love the detail and colors of the videos from the dvr I get to watch of what goes on and is happening on my property. And it's so easy to access the cameras feed!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great setup, easy install

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installed this using an existing PoE system by purchasing some adapters and it’s working great. I didn’t want to piecemeal a PoE setup together like I had originally done at our house so now I have the DVR and cameras all working together and it’s a game changer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

An investment in security

I love the feeling of security I get when I can see what’s going on at my house when I am not there. He app is easy to install and easy to use. I recommend his over the other products out in the market

Easy to set up, works great, great price

After 3 years of owning the Q-See security camera system, I am finally tossing it in the trash after buying a Night Qwl DP2-161-4L system. Q-See was impossible to set up, could never get it connected to my internet, never could view the cameras on my t.v., and customer service was non-existent. I wasted hours trying to get it working correctly. This past October I bought a new Q-See DVR and it never worked properly and I am still waiting on an e-mail message that I sent them 3 weeks ago. I am done with that company.
Two nights ago I bought the Night Owl DP2-161-4L and tonight I decided to try setting it up and it was basically flawless.
I followed the layout work instructions, downloaded the Night Owl Protect app to my S8 phone, scanned the DVR code, and it set itself up on my phone fairly easy.
The only setback that I had is I completed the firmware update and I had to work through a few extra steps to get my phone set back up. Once I completed this I had to access the visual on my t.v. and go to DVR menu, Maintain, System, and select "Reset Default". Once this was done, the system reset itself. I then logged into my account and reset all the choices that I made before the firmware update. I then went to my phone app and re-scanned my DVR, and the system reset itself and I had connectivity again.
I can hardly believe how easy the Night Owl system is compared to Q-See. Never again, I am staying with Night Owl. Thanks!

Great System

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m pleasantly surprised by how easy this was to set up. The fact that it is a wired system had me worried but with the help of someone that’s handy, it was pretty easy! Plus side, it’s more reliable than a wireless system. The image is sharp and clear. The app was easy to navigate. I was a little disappointed that the cameras were plastic but that’s just a small con. I still give this system 5 stars!!

The polycarbon cameras are better for installation, as they are lighter weight and mount better to a variety of surfaces. They have the same weatherproof rating, durability and warranty as our metal housed cameras so no need to worry there. Thank you again for the review!

Best Security System

Itnwas very easy to set up and the cameras have the clearest pictures and the spotlight is so bright by the second night we knew who or what was messing around our yard . It wasnt the monsters my kids thought it was . The spotlight blinded the whole little family of racoons . That was making so much noise
. The pictures are so clear . This is so easy to set and Like that alarms are.sent straight to my phone and I can see what is happening at my home when Im not there
