Laptop died within a week of purchase trying to install an HP update
on December 5, 2024

This product completely died within one week of buying it after trying to install an automatic update from HP. No replacement product was available and the parts were not available to fix it. Because of HP's restrictive review guidelines I am not permitted to mention how HP responded to this, or whether I received any value from the care package I had purchased at significant expense.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is a well-designed, compact machine that performs well. I find the screen easier to read than I expected. My only criticism is that it was not accompamied by a detailed guide of its features and functions.
