Absolutely a disaster

I bought this after having a classic II for two years. Love the Kamado otherwise. Tried pizza on it for a few years with the pizza stone and deflectors with mixed results. So I thought it would be an upgrade. The biggest challenge was getting the pizza on and off the grill. So I thought the front opening would be compatible with the pizza peel they sell. Nope. Not at all. So now trying to get the pizza off is a disaster
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The key to these incredible products is that you don’t “need” them, but they are part of the KJ experience that adds fun to your grilling. Love this for making pizzas, calzones, etc. thank you Kamado Joe for this product you provide to us.

Best pizza accessory available

Factor in the stone comes with the set and it's a no brainer to purchase the dojoe. I like being able to cook multiple pies without having to open the dome and lose the heat. Easy to dial in the heat.

Have used it twice so far. Works great. Use a good brand of charcoal Green Egg or Kamado Joe. Holds heat longer. A infrared thernometer is a big help to ensure stone is 500f

It’s the expected high quality materials from Kamado Joe. As a rookie pizza griller, I find it difficult to manage the pizza in the narrow opening, which was made easier when I got a peel that actually fit (as opposed to the one they sell). My only other issue is that it’s a bit difficult to get the heat deflectors in and out. But my pizzas have turned out good, despite my issues loading/unloading the grill. Any issues are largely my lack of experience and not the DoJoe.
