V-Box charger looks good and works like a charm!

I had this EV Charger installed (along with the correct electric outlet) a few days ago by an electrician. It works great so far. Will have to use it for a while to rate the performance over time. My VW ID.4 instantly connected with the EV Charger and the charging speed is 10 times faster than connecting the ID.4 charging cable to a regular electric (Level 1) outlet!

This is a basic EVSE. It doesn’t have Bluetooth or Wifi or any other advanced features. It’s designed to simply plug into an EV and charge it without any fuss. So far, it has done that job to perfection in my hot Texas garage. It maintains a rate of 9.0 kW plugged into my Taycan and remains reasonable cool throughout the entire charging session. The unit looks really nice on the wall and the LCD display provides some basic details that are nice to know. The included J-hook does a good job of containing the cable but I don’t like the included receptacle for the J1772 plug. It is 90 degrees to the wall so it makes the plug stick straight out from the wall. I’d prefer if they made one that was angled down so the J1772 hung parallel to the wall. It’s a minor gripe but it’s why I deducted one star. I definitely recommend this unit so far.

I purchased this new charger about two weeks ago. I have been enjoying it so far. With our Honda Clarity, we are getting about 29.5A; with our Tesla, we get about 39.5A which is very close to what is promised. It is charging faster than our previous Level 2 Charger. This charger adds up about 30 mi/h while the older one was adding 20 mi/h to our Tesla.

Just had it installed 2 days ago. Mounting was easy, and the charger looks great. I have it mounted outside, still need to install the cord hook. Tested on my wife’s Pacifica hybrid and it was maxing out what it could receive, about 6.6kw. Charged perfectly.
Looking forward to plugging my F150 Lightning in when it arrives for the real test.
