Very dissapointed, I have had many Cuisinart products, however the product and customer service are a massive let down
POSITIVES Looks good Lots of attachments Good size to have on counter top BPA Free
NEGATIVES Extremely noisy Broke on dicing - It lifted the top which was sealed, couldn't open the top, was returned Dicing attachment small Only one size dicing Difficult to use as its a high to put veg in the top chute

This food processor is a life saver for me. After long hours of work, when I come home I quickly prepare the dinner for my family, and the next days meals. also, I had the chance to buy it at a great price.

Substitute for my 20-year old Magimix 5100 for which replacement bowls are no longer available. Performs well in all my food preparation tasks (chopping, slicing, grating, cake mixing and bread-making), although not quite as powerful as the Magimix, so some processes take a bit longer, but the end result is just as good, and sometimes better. This machine cost around 75% less than an equivalent new Magimix model, so if I get more than 5 years use out of it, it will prove to be a great buy.

I received this machine as a replacement for my wonderful Cast Iron Edition Cuisinart Processor which gave up the ghost after 15 years hard labour! Initially, I was excited to use this replacement but having used it regularly for several years, in comparison, and despite the hefty price tag, the FP1300U/SU is a poor substitute for the previous Cast Iron Edition, it's certainly not as robust or powerful, the plastic components are flimsy, most of which are now cracked or chipped. While in use it's very noisy, clunky and unstable and the bowl and work bowl lid are fiddly and stiff to attach or remove. Apart from the processing blades, shredding, slicing and grating discs, most of the other attachments and dicing kit haven't seen the light of day since I received the machine. I used the spiralizer attachment once but gave it up as a bad job. I've never used the dicing set or the second bowl because when I have small chopping/grating jobs I'll do these by hand to avoid having to wash the processor components. I find the multiple pusher irritating - on occasion I've taken the top off to "scrape down" and on putting the work bowl lid down onto the worktop the inner plungers have shot out of the work tube, slid across the worktop and onto the floor! I do like the fact the large bowl is sealed underneath preventing leakage, I like the thickness twist adjustment of the slicing disc. The machine looks good but sadly it's a case of style over substance and I certainly don't see it being as robust and long lasting as my fabulous old Cast Iron Edition machine which was a brilliantly engineered solid piece of kit that could cope admirably with the toughest of culinary challenges!
