Love but....

Over the years, I have purchased many Garmin smart watches that now live in a desk drawer. What does that tell you? For personal reasons, I must keep track of my HR throughout the day. And any one of the Garmin watches in that drawer work well enough - not great but well enough. But when it comes to sleep data, Garmin watches are consistently inaccurate. Yes, the watch band is snug around my wrist. I know that I often wake around 2:00 am. Usually it takes an hour to fall back asleep. I'm up and reading or some such thing. Last night, the new Venu Sq2 calculated my awake time was 18 minutes. In fact, I was up for a little over and hour. And a few nights ago the brand new Sq2 indicated that I woke up at 6:00 am. No, I woke up at 3:35 am and never fell back asleep. As for HR, while just out and about, it's quite good. But accuracy while rowing on open water is a complete failure. Not just the first few minutes...throughout a one-hour session. So one more Garmin watch into the drawer. Hope that someday Garmin's software/engineering staff will figure out how to make these watches more accurate.

Loving My Venu!

I have had my Garmin Venu Sq 2 for about 3 weeks and I am loving it! I purchased it based on my husband's recommendation to replace my Apple Watch, and it is so superior and has a great price point! The screen is slightly larger than an Apple Watch, which is honestly the only thing I would change.

Great simple watch

I’ve had a Fitbit, an Apple and a Suunto. I still think this beats them all. Love the app and all the things I can review like sleep, stress and more. Battery life is awesome. As someone who forgets to charge I hated the Apple Watch as it required daily charging. This one I plug in every 1.5 weeks. Heart rate seems to be more consistent than past watches . I only wish the watch had a little more weight to it. Def happy I finally made the switch to Garmin.

Exactly what I needed

I was looking for a daily watch with a sleeker more feminine look that would work as an all around fitness and workout tracker. This fits the bill beautifully. Previously I wore an older model instinct, and found it a bit clunky. The venu plays nice with garmin connect and does all the workout features I enjoyed with the instinct, with a more modern attractive look. I found it pretty intuitive and easy to use for run/walk, strength, and yoga workouts. I have used it for swim and it’s a bit more tricky, but I think any touchscreen plus water would have that issue. Overall pleased with my purchase and would recommend.

Very happy but..

Battery life is amazing. Only complaint is sometimes the display doesn't come on when you flip your wrist and you can't schedule a time when you want to put on "do not disturb."
The rest is great. I wish the developers can update that.

This watch has great features for running & other types of workouts. The music feature is great so I don’t have to carry my phone with me. I also feel safe knowing I have emergency contact available if needed. I am so happy I purchased this watch!
