This is a protector that actually fits the mattress. It goes over the sides and corners extending completely under the mattress.

I’m sure this works great but it makes the bed even less breathable. I am always cold and with this protector on the bed I even get so hot. We haven’t been using it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
