We have owned a Kamado Pot for over 40 years. Last year we decided we deserved an upgrade, even though our old Kamado pot was still good (we passed it on to a family member). I LOVE all the new additions to the Kamado Joe; the exterior temperature gauge, the top vent, the hydraulic lid, the cart and side racks, etc., etc. We have always loved the flavor Kamado gives to food of any kind. Of all the different meats and vegetables we cook in it, I guess I’d have to say my two (sentimental) favorites are meatloaf and Thanksgiving turkey. Family and friends love having a turkey made in the Kamado so much that we have to do the turkey whether we are hosting Thanksgiving dinner or not. We don’t mind because we love it too.

We have loved using our Classic II. The taste of the food has been fabulous and we are enjoying the process. No complaints other than the heat deflector plate melted to the side tray when we took it off. We didn't see anywhere that said not to put it on the side tray.

I have had for several years now and love the way it cooks. I would recommend watching both the Kamado Joe You Tube videos along with the Smoking Dad BBQ videos to get a great learning curve on use and accessories. If I was purchasing today I would go with the Classic III but other than that the Classic II has been all I have needed for the family cooks I do. If you want more space the Big Joe would be the answer but the accessories cost about 50% more for the larger size.

I bought this for my boyfriend’s 30th birthday to reignite his passion for cooking, and I’m so glad I did. He uses it EVERY weekend, rain or shine (or snow…we live in Canada). Temperature regulation is super easy, and cooking is a breeze. Only reason I gave this product 4-stars instead of 5 is because the mesh gasket on the Joe was damaged upon delivery. However, when I contacted Customer Service, they were super helpful and were able to send me a replacement for the damaged part right away. We fixed it ourselves and have been using it consistently ever since!

I've had a Big Joe 3 for several years and love it. It's the best. But for smaller cooks the Classic 2 made sense to me. Same great quality just smaller. They make a great pair. Griling/smoking is one my very favorite things to do. Usually at least 3-4 times a week. It only makes sense for me to use the very best equipment. Thanks KJ!

I bought this 3 years ago... The seals are AMAZING! The accessories are AMAZING! The intuitive use is AMAZING! The worst cooks are still AMAZING! I have not had one real issue but the ceramic inserts could be better fit/install, they sometimes fall over themselves and are hard to fit at times.
