[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This KJ Classic (Series II) does it all. This grill is perfect for our lake home and has held enough food to feed 8-10 regularly. I also have an XL BGE and the assisted life via the spring hinge gives extra ease in being able to lift the lid more easily.
This is perfect for countless modes of outdoor cooking but I primarily use for grilling (high heats) and smoking (low & slow with the heat deflectors).
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the Classic 2 a year before the Classic 3. I would have purchased the Classic 3 but it wasn't an option. I highly recommend this over BGE due to the versatility right out of the box. The newer accessories were designed to fit the classic 2 ...sloroller, etc. The air hinge is a game change and makes grilling a better experience. Don't hesitate to buy any Kamado Joe grills! Company stands behind their products good and bad!

This Big Joe series II really holds the heat. The first time I used it was around 25 degrees outside with a 15 mph wind. The temperature never wavered. Very easy to maintain temperature. The beef tenderloin was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. I can’t wait to do some other meats on it. It’s the perfect smoker.
