Spatchcock Chicken on the Joe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've just made a spatchcocked chicken on my Kamado Joe and it turned out perfect. I used indirect heat at about 350 for 1hr. I'd also brined the chicken. It's perfect!

The build quality is outstanding—everything feels sturdy and well thought out, from the air-lift hinge that makes opening the heavy ceramic lid effortless to the gasket that seals perfectly and holds in heat and smoke.
Temperature control is incredibly precise. Whether I’m slow-smoking ribs at 225°F or searing steaks at over 700°F, the Classic II locks in heat and stays steady for hours with minimal adjustment. The Divide & Conquer system is genius—it lets me cook at different temperatures at the same time, which makes grilling more versatile than I ever imagined.
Cleanup is easy thanks to the slide-out ash drawer, and I appreciate that Kamado Joe includes everything you need right out of the box—cart, side shelves, heat deflectors, and more—so you don’t have to buy a bunch of add-ons just to get started.
The food that comes off this grill is next level. Meats stay juicy, the smoky flavor is deep and authentic, and it honestly feels like restaurant-quality cooking at home. It’s not the cheapest grill out there, but the quality, performance, and included features make it an incredible value.
I highly recommend the Kamado Joe Classic II to anyone who wants a versatile, durable, and fun-to-use grill. It’s hands-down one of the best investments I’ve made for my backyard.

Love my Kamado Joe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I never owned the usual propane gas grill. I never wanted one. At the time pellet grills started getting popular I decided I would like to be able to smoke meats but also grill and most pellet grills are not strong on grilling (or it's not possible at all). I went to a local grill store (not big box!) and told them my interest. They suggested charcoal and particulary Kamafo Joe. I bought the classic II and love using it. I have certainly grilled steaks, burgers, fresh corn, and the like, but I have also smoked all kinds of meats. It took me a little time to learn the process of temp control but it all works so well now.

It was the second best choice I’ve made next to making the decision to purchase my first Kamado grill the year before (Classic II). I have cooked many meals on both grills and they work flawlessly. Thinking of adding the Big Joe III to the family.
