I have had a classic iii for a while but always wanted a big Joe, got an amazing deal on one along with some accessories and I love the added grate space. I have operated Kamado joes for quite a few years now and I’m very comfy to where I never use all the gadgets for fire management because i feel it’s the easiest grill/smoker to operate. I normally start my smokes around 10 pm snd go to bed and I have never been disappointed and still have a lot of coal left over in the morning. This is the best smoker ever for anything you want to do including pizza. I highly recommend this grill.

This is my 2nd Big Joe. My first was an original Big Joe. I like the original "daisy wheel" Big Joe vent because the juices didn't ooze out the seems, and onto the beautiful red surface.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If my house were on fire and I could only save one thing—sorry dogs, sorry husband—I’m grabbing my kamado. This ceramic beast is not just a grill. It’s a life coach, a therapist, and a meat whisperer all in one.
First time I fired it up, I felt like I was summoning ancient BBQ spirits. I’m pretty sure one of them told me to buy more ribs. Wise.
The temperature control is so precise, I think it might secretly be run by NASA. Want low and slow pulled pork? Done. Crusty, juicy steak? Easy. Accidentally ignite a marshmallow into a flaming sugar bomb? Also yes. It does it all, with flair.
Cleanup? Ha! My kamado laughs in the face of grease. A little brush here, a little sass there, and she’s ready for round two.
Only downside? She’s made all my other cooking appliances feel useless. My oven hasn’t seen action since my purchase . It’s bitter.
Final verdict: This thing is my spirit animal. She’s hot, moody in the best way, and makes me look like a backyard legend. Long live the Kamado Queen. 👑🔥

Spatchcock Chicken on the Joe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've just made a spatchcocked chicken on my Kamado Joe and it turned out perfect. I used indirect heat at about 350 for 1hr. I'd also brined the chicken. It's perfect!
