I bought the Classic II and the only problem thus far that I have is that the dome will not stay open. When I lift the dome, it immediately starts closing. It is very difficult to smoke when the you are holding the dome up with one hand and trying to do everything else with the other hand. Please advise. I don't want to base my review on that alone because everything else seems fine.

Bought this about a month ago and the only downside is that I wish I had gotten one a year ago. I have loved having the KJ (my family has too). It can make you seem like a better cook than you really are because it is such a high quality grill! It is very versatile, holds heat incredibly well, provides great flavor, etc. It is just really fun to use. I have enjoyed learning the ins and outs of this cooker and am hooked on watching Youtube videos on everything Kamado Joe. I would not hesitate to recommend this grill to anyone.

I bought this KJ back in February. It never bad any problems and holds the heat well. Also it is a very versatile unit good for any style, baking pizza, doing super hot searing, grilling, smoking, overnight cooks etc. My favourites are Tomahawk cut and Lamb racks. I will recommend a Kamado Joe to anyone who is into BBQ and or a decent kamado.

Came well packed and with everything needed to cook a dozen different ways, still experimenting and all my attempts have turned out great. Really nice center of activity outdoors too, really changed the way we live for the better. Everything is well made and well thought out, it holds steady temps that are easy to control and uses very little fuel. It shuts down tight enough to strangle the fire when you're done and I've had great luck grilling on one side of it while cooking sides indirect on the other.
