Made waaay better than green egg!!!

My boss and I went back and forth reviewing ALL of the Kamado style grills for 9 MONTHS! We both decided on Joe (he got the Big joe) !! Here’s why (compared to the green egg)... thicker ceramic (this means better heat control), all steel is 304 grade stainless steel (this is particularly important when you compare how the lid hinges are made! Speaking of hinges the Joe has a hydraulic controlled hinge that will stay open at any degree (the egg is open or closed and be sure not to drop it!), The lids seal is commercial grade fiberglass mesh, with a stainless steel lock that compresses the mesh for better heat retention. The Joe comes standard with a rain guard. The half moon system is also standard (This is essential when grilling the perfect steak!)The Joe comes standard with removable ash box, that makes clean up easier. Joe comes with all the essentials to get started (ash tool, stainless grates, deflector plates are extra with the egg.) check out my review on the cast iron griddle, this is where I will tell you about the perfect steak!

I have a home in Florida. Bought my first one there and loved it so much I ordered 2 more for my home in Canada and my son. Red is way better than green. Had a hinge problem but it was replaced with no questions. Great service!

I smoke a lot of meat on this grill. If you looking at green egg or Kamado joe grill I would suggest going with the kamado joe grill

I was in the market for a smoker that could do more than just smoke meat and holy cow did I get more than what I was looking for! Everything that comes off this is delicious and when I'm regularly feeding my extended family (16+ people) we always have plenty. We've done basic smokes of pork and turkey, grilled steaks and chicken, and gotten amazing wood-fired pizzas going as well. With enough guides and videos out there from Kamado Joe the learning curve was quick and I have yet to cook something that the whole family didn't love. I'm continually amazed that I can get a stable cook at 200F or get the hot fire I need for a quick 3 minute pizza. Don't look any further and just pick up one of these now!

I've had it for two years, and I use it at least once a week. I originally had a gas grill and electric smokers. I was skeptical that the KJ could get hot enough to grill a steak but also stay low enough to smoke a brisket. I was pleasantly surprised that this is so versatile. I cook everything on it - smoked meats, fish, vegetables, next up is cheese. I grill full meals using the divide and conquer to get a good sear on my steak while cooking vegetables at the right temp.
