Moisture sensor doesnt work
on February 6, 2020
Posted by: Momma35
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to run multiple cycles on this to dry clothes as the moisture sensor doesn't work. I've started using the "timed dry" feature so that it actually dries everything, but kind of defeats the purpose of having an "energy efficient" machine. This came with the house we bought, but I would never buy another one.

Hi, Momma35.
Thank you for your review!
I’m disappointed to learn you’ve encountered some challenges with your dryer.
I recommend checking the following things with your appliance.
Drying times vary depending on the size and dampness of the load and fabric type. If the load is too small/large or almost dry, the moisture sensors may not detect enough moisture to continue the cycle, and the cycle may end after a few minutes. If this occurs, then select the time dry cycle to dry such loads. Room temperature and humidity, type of installation and electrical voltage can also affect drying time.
Did you know? Fabric softener sheets can leave a residue on the moisture sensor bars in your dryer, which can inhibit their ability to accurately sense wet clothes. You may remove the residue by wiping the moisture sensor bars with rubbing alcohol. For more tips on getting the best drying performance from your dryer, please visit the link below.

Worst dryer ever!!
on August 7, 2020
Posted by: CRSHAK
If you want your clothes to actually dry, do not buy this dryer!!!!! This washer and dryer came with our house and we have had nothing but problems. It takes at least 90 minutes to dry a single load. We have had it serviced and the repairman said there is nothing wrong with the machine - it just takes a very long time to dry clothes in it. We can't use the sensor settings because our clothes remain very damp. The machine overheats and trips our breaker on a regular basis. Please, DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE!!!!!

Doesn't dry completely

I have to run every load twice in order to get it fully dry. This seems to be the case regardless of the setting.
Response from frigidaire.comBy Anna P. , Online Outreach Specialist, October 20, 2020
Hello SpaghettiAbby.
We would really like to resolve this annoying problem for you. We do recommend the continued use of a rinse aid. Also, please confirm that your water heater is set at 120°F (49°C) to assure proper water temperature inside the dishwasher. Lastly, run the faucet closest to the dishwasher prior to starting the dishwasher to purge cold water from the hot water line.
If you would like to speak about these matters with us directly, please give our customer service team a call at 1- 800-374-4432 Mon - Fri, 8:30am - 8pm (EST) or via Live Chat at Frigidaire.com.
Kindly, Anna

Great Product...BUT

from Cedar Grove, Wi
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very nice looking and so far, reliable and well functioning appliance. We are generally happy with it and only have one small criticism. We do not like the lack of user control over some of the settings in the sensor dry option. Presets are too limited in scope of temperatures and heat settings, and do not allow the user to change these parameters. You often find yourself in a situation where you cannot find the precise heat and/or dryness settings you want for your load because the computer will not allow you to adjust the heat or dryness settings beyond certain parameters. There is a cumbersome work around: select the preset with the closest setting to what you need and start the dryer. After allowing it to run for a few minutes, the sensor will display an estimate of the time for the load to dry to preset parameters. You can then switch to the "time dry" mode, which does allow you to adjust the settings as you like. Based on the previous time given by the sensor, you can set the time dry to the heat parameter you want, then adjust the given time up or down depending on whether you want more or less heat than the "sensor dry" preset would allow. Note that you are unable to adjust the dryness parameter in the "time dry" mode, so you have to "guestimate" based on the time given when you first ran the sensor dry cycle. Anyway, for this inconvenience, we are deducting one star from our review. Otherwise, an excellent product (so far!!)
I would recommend this to a friend!

Avoid at all costs!

This dryer failed to dry 10 washcloths and 3 towels after 118 minutes on the "Towels" setting on "High" temp. A repairman came out and said it was not venting. We just moved into a brand-new home and the vent is clear and working properly - we have photos to prove it! We let the dryer vent into our laundry room, and it still would not dry the load. The repairman came out a second time and still insisted the problem was the vent. I'm no expert, but I'd say he's got some additional training to go through. The dryer is brand new, and does NOT dry a load of clothes. I'm having to get reps from my builder and Electrolux involved!

Doesn’t always dry
on December 14, 2020
Posted by: Latham
We are in a rental house and this dryer is part of the deal. It will work properly most of the time but not always. If I pause the cycle to check on the clothes, it will not heat up again and the timer will stay at the same time,(will not count down). It is very frustrating to have to continue to go and check if the machine is working correctly. Sometimes I will have to turn it off, readjust the settings to get it to work properly again and other times it will not. This is not a good or even average dryer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Forget using the sensor settings on this dryer. Bulk, towels, even normal will leave your clothes damp. Have to use timed and set it on 50 minutes or more at max.
