Could someone please tell me why it takes so long to do a load of wash? This not the first washer we have ever bought but definitely the one that I regret the most . Wish I would have read these reviews before I made this purchase. How can this be environmentally friendly ?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi, SherryNS!
Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to know that the washer is working well, except for your concerns with the cycle timeframes. The washers use less water, which means longer wash and rinse times to clean the clothing, and spins the clothing until they are nearly dry, conserving energy. Should you need further assistance, please feel free to chat with us online at Frigidaire.com or contact us via phone at 800-374-4432 Monday-Friday, 8:30 am- 8:00 pm. -Katrina

One big flaw in design
on January 15, 2021
Posted by: The Dirk
I think a suitable punishment for whoever designed this machine would be to force them to use only this machine to wash their laundry for the rest of their life. Sure it has all the sorts of features you would typically want and the machine has continued to operate consistently without breaking down for almost a year now. However, there is one big problem with this machine that makes me regret purchasing it. The machine is supposed to add just the right amount of water based on "sensing" the load. Problem is a magic 8 ball would probably be more accurate than this feature. It almost never adds enough water. When I started using the machine, I would have loads that would have bone dry clothing at the end of the wash cycle. Thus, you can never just put in a load, start the machine and walk away until it's done. You have to come back when it's done adding water to see if there's actually enough water to run the wash cycle; and there only is enough water to come anywhere close to enough about 5% of the time. This problem would be bad enough, but there is no button or feature to have the machine add water. This means that for pretty much every load you have to manually interrupt the cycle, then carry water by hand to pour into the machine until there's enough (usually 15-30 litres, so not just a couple of pitchers full). And of course if the wash water level is way off, you know the rinse level is going to be the same, so keep an eye on it until it reaches rinse and then manually add water again. I have found that if after adding the clothes you pour in about 4-6 litres of water on top of the clothing this weighs them down enough that the sensor will call for enough water about 70% of the time. This is still a hassle as I still have to watch every load to make sure there's enough water, but I'm only adding by hand a little less than a third of the time, and now only 10-15 litres. I suppose if your only other option is to take your laundry down to the river with a washboard and some lye soap you might consider this machine, but otherwise I would recommend you purchase something/anything else.

Hello!
Thanks for reaching out with your concerns. We're sorry to hear that you're having to take extra steps on your wash loads. High-efficiency washers like this one will use less water than their predecessors, and water will move in and out of the tub as it spins clothes around the agitator. There should still be enough water to fully wet the clothes as long as the tub has not been overloaded. If the load is too big or contains very large items (like a king-size comforter) you may get some dry spots in the center that water was unable to reach. Do you get the same results on small loads? If these issues continue no matter the load size, we would be happy to research further and see how we can help. Please give us a call at 1-800-265-8352 Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 8pm EST at your convenience.
Best, Ashton

A frustrating 3.5 years of usage
on April 29, 2021
Posted by: AnnieBee
I bought this washer 3.5 years ago. Claimed to be water efficient, smart because it apparently decides how much water and washing it should do. I have never had a washer not wet my clothes before this one, but somehow this is a common occurrence with this machine, unless you use Max Fill, which defeats the purpose of little water usage, as well as it is not available on all settings. I found that if I do sheets/blankets, it always gives me an error code for being unbalanced, have to rearrange the load and restart. You also never get a load done under an hour, which is quite long considering the load size sometimes. As well, as of this week, the pump is dead so I cannot use it anymore. If I had loved my washer I would have gotten it repaired but honestly this is almost a relief (other than financially) as I will now change it. Not impressed.

Thank you for sharing your story with us, and we’re so sorry you’ve had a difficult experience with your washing machine! This model is meant to be water efficient, and this means it only fills to the required water level needed to clean your items (which is often less than most think is needed but is perfectly normal). However, pressing the Max Fill button adds the maximum amount of fill possible and will increase your cycle duration time. The Max Fill feature is not recommended for typical use and is only intended for special instances. If you have any questions we can look into or need any help finding local repair centers, please let us know by connecting with our Customer Support line at 1-800-265-8352 Monday through Friday between 8:30 am until 8:00 pm EST. – Hailea

It keeps stopping with error E1 many times for every load. It is levelled perfectly. It takes several hours to get one load done after resetting the E1 error. Nightmare. Have had this for 2 years and keeps getting worst. Do not buy. It does not deserve one star…
