Tricky placement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Because this refrigerator/freezer was not meant for a garage, it was tricky to place it so it would function properly in a cold space. We solved the problem by sandwiching it between a shelving unit and an upright freezer. Then we added a tower of storage bins on the other side of the freezer, so it would stay in the safe zone as well. Added a freezer thermometer in each freezer so we can easily check that all is well.

I'm kind of disappointed..

complaints I have are:
1) Temp control panel outside of unit on front of the door. Settings change too easy. Should be a way to lock that panel.
2) Unit is producing a lot of heat on the sides & it's heating up our house. Runs a lot & makes a lot of noises.
3) No drawer for misc things like cheeses or cubes of butter, etc.
4) Produce drawers are cheap & when u pull one out they move side to side.
In the freezer the drawers do the same thing & the shelf above will lift up too.
5) Things on top shelf of fridge are freezing up a little. I even turned up the temp past the recommended temp & it's still happening.
This is a very cheaply made fridge.

Works great. Don't touch door controls by accident!
