[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this T14 as my company-issued laptop. Overall, it is a perfect example of work device adequacy. It's weight and profile -- while not slim and feathery -- combine for good portability, and it feels relatively durable. The fingerprint reader is convenient when it isn't being overly finicky. For a minimalist like me, the bland overall aesthetic is just fine. The Intel Core i5 makes it snappy, the camera is more than serviceable, and the monitor is sufficient in size and performance (significant bezels notwithstanding).
While it's kind of nice to have a built-in ethernet port, I would have preferred shifting at least one of the other USB (A and C) ports or the HDMI port over to its place, as they are all crammed somewhat troublesomely close together along the left side.
One quirk I have noticed is that it my Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse (leveraging a single Unifying Receiver) experience a lot of signal failure/interruption if the dongle is plugged directly into the laptop AND the laptop is docked. This is what I would generally prefer for my home setup with the way I have things arranged -- even undocked, I would like to be able to easily continue to use the Logitech peripherals at my option. The situation appears to correct itself if I plug the Unifying Receiver dongle into the the dock itself. I have not yet diagnosed if this is a Logitech, laptop, or dock issue, specifically, but it's a minor if persistent inconvenience.
In total, the T14 has been a mostly flawless performer with adequate specs -- perfectly "forgettable" in all aspects, which is exactly what I want out of a work device.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's early days, but it appears to be another in a long line of business-class, reliable Thinkpads...but I am a bit worried. I've already encountered a problem with the TrackPoint -- one of the biggest reasons for paying the premium to buy a ThinkPad. The worrying part is that this issue is well-known to the user community and SHOULD BE well-known to the Lenovo engineering department.
When using the TrackPoint in fully-patched Windows 10, it will occasionally stop working. There doesn't seem to be a common cause for anyone. The Touchpad -- if you have it enabled -- still works, but the TrackPoint requires either a full system reboot to fix...or you can use a utility than an END-USER wrote to (hopefully) wake it back up.
This is very disappointing and I wasn't aware of it before I placed my order, but I'm on the fence about returning the machine as this problem pops up every 30 minutes or so while using the machine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is very lightweight. It is powerful enough for daily use like browsing and streaming. I think it is a good choice for daily use. However, when I play games, the computer fan keeps running and makes me a little bit worried how long it can last.
