Updates for that app fixes nothing. Update your BIOS and perform Windows Updates as soon as you get ANY Lenovo laptop or desktop. You're welcome!!

Avoid the Privacy screen at ALL cost, and overheat

I went for the 500 nits display with eprivacy feature. It was a complete failure. Even with the privacy turned off, the clarity of the display makes it unsuitable even for normal use. So, I requested to replace the display with anything (250, 300 or 400 nits without privacy) but the current one but it could not be done as it can only be replaced with the same LCD that was fitted, as advised by the Singapore Lenovo Service Center.
The other problem was overheating when the laptop is in idle mode with the Power mode in the middle setting (Click the Battery and choose the setting). The laptop feels hot and the exhaust fan is clearly hard at work. I have the Thinkpad T470 and Lenovo Ideapad U430 (2014) and had no issues with the same settings.
Without a replacement of the LCD screen, the laptop is rendered useless, totally. Just can't use it when I paid for it. Do not buy this model!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
