[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this PC a month ago and I am amazed by its performance. It is futureproof as the important system components support the latest standars (DDR5, PCIe4, 12th gen intel core, Thunderbolt 4, USB4, USB PD3 on the THB/USBC port, DisplayPort 1.4, Bluetooth 5.2). I also love the fact that it can be easily customized: 2 SODIMM DDR5 memory slots, 2 M.2 PCIex4 gen 4 expansion slot, 1 Thunderbolt 4/USB4 port next to the slim tip power input port makes it compatible with Thunderbolt 4 and USB C docks.
Having all these premium features comes with a compromise: the machine is somewhat thick and heavy, heats a lot and consumes power. This is exactly what I was looking for: a real workstation packed in a laptop casing.
In any case, if you consider buying this you absolutely need the highest capacity battery, and the most powerful power supply (mine is equipped with the 68Wh battery and the 135W slim tip power supply).
The one biggest downsides for my use case is the intel BIOS raid which sucks for OS booting interpolability, as I intended to install linux on a separate partition on the OEM raid and enable dual booting (I specifically did not choose to equip the PC with a discrete NVIDIA card to avoid any driver end of life nightmares for future kernel versios); but I got caught by the Intel BIOS raid instead: linux doesn't recognize the OEM raid volume: that is, it doesn't generate a device node for it (although it still detects both nvme ssds, but they both appear as fully used without any partitions on them). I tried loading the vmd kernel module, but this didn't work by itself, maybe I am missing some extra steps...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great performance, customizable (2x SODIMM slots, 2x M.2 PCIe slots), everything is latest generation (dual DDR5, PCIe 4, 2xNVMe SSD, Thunderbolt 4/USB4, 12gen intel core, Bluetooth 5.2).
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] great laptop so far. it has 64 gb ram ssd which makes it very efficient for solidworks, autodesk and hexagon visi cad/cam softwares.
Very solid laptop with good performance, even while gaming or graphic designing. Screen resolution is nice. My only issues with it is that the battery life while unplugged is a little shorter than expected and that the fingerprint login reader isn’t very reliable. Otherwise, a great choice!
