Another Win for Shark Ninja!!!

From set up to discharging the vacuum it’s smooth. Set up took only minutes. The battery charged for about 30 minutes. While it charged I downloaded the app, and filled the water reservoir.
Once you get things going and give your vacuum robot a super cool name :) your vacuum is ready to map your house. I really like this feature. The vacuum mapped my house in about 20-30 minutes.
On the second go around, I was able to tell the AI where I wanted it to go and how I wanted it cleaned.
The mop feature is amazing too. The AI goes about its business vacuuming and mopping never missing a spot! I love that it gets the edges so well. I have 2 cats and a dog. Let’s just say, within 1 day I have little pet hair balls forming along my baseboards.
One the AI vacuum is finished it returns to its base on it own.
Once on the base, it begins to charge itself, and it it’s self cleaning!!!! It dumps whatever
it picks up. This is such a blessing. It seems so small, but it makes such a difference having clean floors all the time. Especially with kids and pets. It’s a time saver beyond measure

Had to send the robot back because the app wouldn't work.... either wouldn't let me to log in for a couple of days at the time or once in my history was empty, could access information.... so much time lost trying to make it work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Amazingly efficient.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The app is completely unusable. I could not create, log on, or get a reset at all. I gave up on the app use. I manually used the buttons on the machine to use it. First use it managed to get stuck under my couch, then argued with me wrestling style while I attempted to save it. Not a fun experience.
Once saved from the depth of the couch it did a surprisingly efficient job on my dog hair covered rugs. It was awesome that it goes under my bed and dressers, where I can't reach.
Not being able to use the app was disappointing, but it is a neat sweeper. I still favor my upright bissell.

Best of all floor cleaners

I have tried several, several floor cleaners, Different brands, different kinds, different models. The Shark cleans floors, going right on through onto carpet. Cleans pet hair, flour on floor and did not realize so much dust accumulated on my floor until I got a Shark. I don’t have to empty it every time, it cleans itself. After getting a shark 4 years ago,
I would never switch to another. I had to buy one for each of my 4 grown kids.
I had a technical problem with one of them and shark did not hesitate to replace the whole unit. The next day my new one was delivered.
It’s a little pricey but well worth the price.

Love/hate

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a love-hate relationship with this shark AI ultra 2 in 1 robot self-empting vacuum. I really wanted to love this machine because I love other products made by shark. But I've had two robot vacuums before this one, not shark brand, but I found this one to be more difficult to figure out. I'm in no way technology challenged but setting this thing up has been a hassle. I'm more of the type of person that likes to just use the robot vacuum by putting it where I wanted to go and it doing the room. This one doesn't seem to function correctly unless you map the room first. Otherwise it seems to just go all over the place repeating different sections and it just doesn't have any rhythm to it. So I've reset it twice, I've let it map the room. But no map loads in the app. I've spent at least 45 minutes on three separate occasions trying to get it to hook to the Wi-Fi. It's all just a hassle. The vacuum randomly comes off of the charging dock and moves about 6 feet and then returns to the dock, for absolutely no reason at absolutely random times. Other than that I think the vacuum works great and has great features. When it vacuums it has no problem going from hard floor to carpet and it doesn't get stuck on a lot of things that my previous robot vacuums did. I think it's because it has amazing wheels, the wheels are like off-road wheels. They're really tough and sturdy and made well with actual tread in them. Although I did find times where even where I was blocking off an area it would continuously ram into that area still trying to get past. But I guess it's still learning my house. It leaves the floor clean and gets a pet hair and my hairs, I have really long hair. Another feature I like is the brush because it has these strips on it that prevent your hair from wrapping around it which is great for me because with long hair I've spent so much time cleaning my hairs off other vacuums brushes. And I appreciate that I don't have that problem with this. It has a air dispenser on one side of the vacuum that when it goes into a corner it shoots whatever you have out to where the brush that spins around can pull it into the actual vacuum. My favorite feature of all about this is the self emptying charging dock. When the vacuum returns to the dock it sucks everything out into this dispenser which is easier to empty than pull in the actual robot vacuum apart. And it doesn't need to be emptied every single time so you can let it build up for a few times before emptying it, and I do like that it tells you when it needs to be emptied. Through the app and verbally. The mopping feature I'm not sure how I feel about yet. I like that it has this ability but it comes with a different insert that you have to attach to the vacuum while taking the regular compartment out. You fill it with the solution which has no scent, and it mops which is okay I guess it just seems like a hassle to switch it out and then if you don't use all the fluid you have to make sure to set the whole compartment up somewhere where it won't be disturbed. Because there is no space on the base for storage. This compartment has to be kept somewhere completely different. The pads are really nice that clean the floor and they come clean very easily. They're sturdy and I expect to get many uses out of them. I had no problems with vacuuming or mopping my whole house and running the battery. It usually went down to 40% doing my entire house. It's a little louder than I would like but not obnoxiously loud. When it's emptying the compartment for about 5 seconds it is very loud, but that's understandable. Overall I like how this shark robot vacuum performs, it doesn't excellent job on cleaning. I'm very happy with that. I just find all the other little things about it, specifically the app, that are more of a hassle than their worth. This is the first robot vacuum I've ever had where I yelled at it like it was a child. So that's why I say I have a love-hate relationship with this thing.

Very poor edge cleaning

We've had this for a few months and have previously owned an older model. I will say I liked the older model much better. The edge cleaning on this model stinks. Even against a straight wall it leaves dirt about 1/2 inch out. I'm not sure if this supposed little blower that is to be blowing the edges is working or not, but the older model with the 2 brushes worked much better. Very disappointed for the price.

I absolutely HATE this vacuum. I am a long time robotic vacuum cleaner and this one is by far the worst I have had. We are a high traffic family and our vacuum is ran daily. This vacuum will not empty for the life of it. I am constantly getting an error message "To please empty the dust bin" despite the fact I have the SELF EMPTY vacuum. It also does not avoid anything, it just runs it over and gets stuck. My kids leaves a sock on the floor and it sucks it up. It also does a sub-par job of vacuuming my entry. Most of the time I have to run it twice to get all the sand & dirt picked up that my kids drag in. I absolutely regret purchasing this and am going to go back to the other name brand robot that I had previously.

If I could please recommend if you have not already tried is to clean out the dust bin. You can do this by removing the dust bin from the back of your robot. To remove the dust bin, press the release button and slide out the bin. While holding the dust bin over the trash can press and hold the release button again and lift open the dust bin lid. When the robot has a clean dust bin it will help the robot empty itself into the base more efficiently.
Also, I see you mentioned that your robot is not quite picking up some of the dust in your home. Please can I recommend, if you haven't done so already, changing the suction level to "MAX" via the app. This will increase the suction on your robot and allow it to collect the remaining dust satisfactorily. I would like to make you aware that by using the "MAX" mode, your battery runtime will naturally decrease a lot faster as the robot is drawing more power. Also, I would encourage you to save your updated cleaning preferences in the settings. This way the robot will always run in the suction mode specified by you.
