Good Vac, but you should know the shortcomings

I have two of these - one for each floor of our house, so feel I know them pretty well. We have long-haired dogs, and wanted a vacuum to sweep the floors daily.
Overall, I really like them and feel they do a good job. Where does all this dirt come from? It vacuums daily and still manages to find more and more. Our prior vacuum obviously hasn't been a doing a good job. We have the power set to normal, and both rugs and bare floor get cleaned. The vac finds its way under couches, ottoman, beds, end tables, etc. This is exactly what we wanted them for.
There are short-comings, however. The vacuum can only complete its scheduled run one in ten days without interruption. It is usually 'error 4, my brush roller is stuck'. Dog hair works its way to the edges of the roller and clogs the roller dust caps. It doesn't take much (Please develop a more dog-hair friendly roller!!!!). If you follow the instructions and turn off the vacuum, clear the roller - then power it on again, it will return to the dock and stops. It won't continue where it left off. There is a workaround. Clear the obstruction while on, and press resume (between error screens - you have to be quick!) on the app. It will finish the run, but not update the history. My vacuum only shows 2 hours of total vacuum run time because it has so many interruptions and never updates the history nor shows the completed map.
They also run an odd pattern. The vac will complete 80% of a room, leave, and vacuum another. It will eventually return to finish the room, but I find it strange that the program doesn't finish one area before going to another.
We do use the mop feature on occasion. The Shark MopVac solution smells nice and cleans our LVT floors nicely. It does leave streaks if the mop pad has a slight wrinkle in it. That is solved by pausing the vac, removing the wrinkle and resuming. BUT, then the map history won't update.
The app needs some development work. There are a number of bugs: spotty notifications, going to the wrong room when sent to clean another, map history not displaying when there is an interruption, 'find my vac' locking up the app, and other minor inconveniences.
I'm convinced Shark will keep improving the app, making this the best package on the market.
Overall = Good. Nice vacuum if you know the shortcomings.

I have arthritis and I bought this to take the pain away from vacuuming and mopping. This is the BEST investment I have ever made! Vacuums better than I do, including corners! It also mops wonderfully. Thank goodness for this wonderful product! I absolutely love it.

Well built, but not what I need

Here are my problems with it: 1. need a lot of space around it, althoughI've found not as much as Shark says, which is good., 2. It didn't go under furniture, that was on leggs (e.g., piano seat, dining area cabinets, under which there was certainly enough clearance. 3. So, I have to move all that stuff out of the way, which I have to do anyway to use our other shark vacuum to vacuum the base moldings. I thought it would be great for wife' s adult daughter's room But she leaves her coths on the floor and other stuff - not Shark's fault - (My Bad, What was I thinking?). 4.. it toesn't pick up diret as well as our nonrobotic hark vacuum, which does an excellent job. 5. It can get stuck transtioning between hardwood and kitchen tile floor due to transition moldings, so having it operate while we aren't home seems like a bad idea. I confess that I haven't called Shark to help with these issues, but there was enough of a chore to get the thing up running, mapping the room and then cleaning, The room mapping was poor, perhaps due to open floor plan. Bottom line: by the time I move furniture and things and move it back, and inbetween do the moldings, I might as well just use our other vacuum. I want to return it and buy a cordless or even coreded Shark stick vacuum for our upstairs rooms and getting tops of door moldings and such. I imagine this is a good product for some, perhaps many, people, but I am underwhelmed with it for our use.

I see you mentioned that your robot is not quite picking up some of the dirt in your home. Please can I recommend, if you haven't done so already, changing the suction level to "MAX" via the app. This will increase the suction on your robot and allow it to collect the remaining dust satisfactorily.
I would like to make you aware that by using the "MAX" mode, your battery runtime will naturally decrease a lot faster as the robot is drawing more power.

Also, I would encourage you to save your updated cleaning preferences in the settings. This way the robot will always run in the suction mode specified by you.

Well worth the price! Finally a product that works! my floors have never been cleaner. I have two long haired cats and a bird that I couldn’t keep up with however my shark can.

My Neato D7 outperforms this unit

I've attached a photo of a rug vacuumed by this Shark. Back story is we have 2 GSD's in our house and run our vacuum 2x a day. I don't expect perfection but our older Neato D7 does a better job. Unfortunately for us we're keeping the Neato because I'm disappointed in the Shark. If I had the option to return the unit I would.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Shark in the Water

I'm happy with the Shark AI Ultra 2-in-1 Robot, Self-Empty XL. Pretty well works as advertised, with one minor exception. The "No-Go Zones" are difficult to set up (they are square, not rectangular) and the app is not especially easy to work with when defining Rooms. Setting up the No-Mop areas doesn't seem to work very well but, once the rooms are defined, I can tell the Shark to mop just the desired areas so the No-Mop Zones don't really matter that much. Being able to work on the Map/Rooms/Areas on a large screen computer would be by far easier than on a small smart phone.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not So Good

Bought this and used it for 1 week.
The map feature was okay but not the best.
The vacuum is not good at all!
We have 2 neato's that are 10years old, After using the shark vac we ran one of neato's right behind it after noticing some grass on the floor it left behind.
Needless to say grass was not all it did not pickup.
The neato picked up another one third of a canister of sand and dust and grass.
That says it all for me.
I noticed their is very little air flow from the shark.
A vacuum has to have a lot of air flow to work properly.
The neato at 10 years old is way better.
I had high hopes for this machine. Hopefully shark will get to work and truly make this machine into a good system.
The mop feature was good but it is no more than a damp mop.
It will work as long as your floor is clean of debris and use it frequently.
The 2 stars are for the map and mop feature.
The vac however would have to be a zero.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

New product with great features.

I purchased “my sparkle” a few weeks ago and so far I have mapped out my home and used the vac/mop feature. It works great and I’m pretty confident in the direction given I have followed, My only complaint is the app I downloaded to set up appears to be missing some features how do i get an app update?
