[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my wife mostly since she has been wanting a robotic vacuum cleaner. She has a regular vacuum/mop that she loves so the fact that this one was 2 in 1 was even better. It was easy to set up and even easier to get the app connected. The self emptying tool is very useful and has been a great add on to this system. So far she loves it and we have had no problems with it.

This is the gift that keeps giving. Today my floor was swept and mopped while I showered. Then I enjoyed a beverage while my living room was vacuumed. This machine even leaves lines and my floor feels so clean after a sweep and mop!! Worth the money!

I'm still getting to know my Shark Robot.

I just got this last week and so far I feel like I am still getting to know my Shark. I am mostly pleased with how it vacuums hard floors, but it sometimes does miss crumbs esp along the edges. It does not do a deep vaccum on rugs. I may still have more to learn about how to operate it as there werent many how-to instructions in the packaging. I have spent time looking up videos on you tube that were more helpful. I do like the mop feature. Perhaps overall my expectations were too high?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My floors have a slight groove to them so it has been so much trouble keeping them clean but, not anymore! This shark robot sweeper/mop has been exactly what we needed and it has been SO nice not worry about walking around barefoot, no more dirty feet! Setup took me a little while because I’m technologically inept sometimes but once I figured everything out, it’s been a breeze and my floors are cleaner than they ever been before! The sweeper automatically empties into the bin when it docks and it’s really easy to empty the bin, just push the button and go dump it into the trashcan. I mostly use the sweeper function the most so far but the mopping option is also awesome, works great and it’s so much easier on my back, too!! Super happy and excited for my little robot!!

I love it. Works great but I only have it 4 stars because I bought the one that empties itself but if you use the mop head all the time it’s a waste of money cause with that head on it doesn’t empty itself

Much better than expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always wanted a robotic vacuum but have long been skeptical of their ultimate practicality and effectiveness. Having read poor reviews of numerous makes and models over the years, I have long been wary to take the plunge. Whatever may be said for the technology's history, as a first time robotic vacuum user I can say the technology has definitely matured and I'm impressed. I'm very pleased I chose the Shark AI Ultra 2-in-1 Self Empty XL Robotic Vacuum as my first foray into automated floor cleaning.
The product came very well packaged and protected. Unpacking was easy and initial setup was a breeze with the included concise instructions.
My unit came with a 30% charge on the battery, so I first got it charging while I installed the Shark Clean app on my phone. After installing, the app walked me through connecting Jawshua to my WiFi network. Was easy enough. It then prompted me to name my robot (a fun feature) and Jawshua is his name-o.
After the robot was fully charged to 100% (about 2.5 to 3 hours) I continued the app's setup walkthrough, instructing Jawshua to map the floorplan of my home. That took about 20 mins and the resulting floor plan was correct and no issues were encountered. The app then lets you label the different rooms in your house. Here I wish the app allowed more precise area selection, but the rectanglar highlighting mechanism results in over selecting some rooms/areas due to a minimum allowed size for the highlighter. I also don't see a way to instruct Jawshua to map additional areas of my house (that I intentionally blocked off for now) later on, without mapping the entire house again. I'd would like to tell the app/robot to explore/map an area that I highlight adjacent to the existing map.
Once I had the initial floor plan map and room labels, I sent Jawshua on his first cleaning mission, my living room. It was a considerable task because I had just taken down our Christmas tree and the carpeted floor was littered with fake pine needles, tinsel debris, etc.
That first cleaning run was very impressive. The robot first covers the room's perimeter (left to right) and then cleans the remainder of the floor in tightly spaced rows, back and forth. It's very efficient and logical to watch. It doesn't randomly bounce around the room in diagonals. Furniture/Obstacles are tightly revolved around. This Shark robot is purposeful in its movements. And my carpet methodically got clean. It got every bit of the decoration debris and the floor looked and felt clean to my feet. Now my carpet is a dense closed loop type, and has velcro type powers on lint and dirt/debris. It can be difficult to vacuum it with a 13amp upright, often requiring multiple passes. And this is mainly why I'm so impressed with this Shark vacuum. The Shark AI Ultra did just about as good of a job as my upright. The brush roller and suction of the robot are very effective.
Upon finishing, the robot directly returned to the base station, parked itself, and offloaded the collected dirt and debris to the base station's collection container, which is very easy to remove and dump.
I immediately sent Jawshua off to do the rest of my house. The only issue was a fouled brush roller (kid's charm bracelet), which the robot and app quickly alerted me to. I quickly resolved that, cleared the error my pressing the Clean button on the robot, and it continued.
Next came scheduling the robot to clean at regular times. That's a very simple app setup task and has worked flawlessly thus far.
There is an Ultraclean feature which seems to just be a double pass of the room. The suction also has three levels--Eco, Normal, and Max. Normal has worked fine for me.
I've yet to use the mop feature, but plan to do so soon. Simply keeping my kitchen vacuumed/swept with this robotic wonder has been invaluable.
Overall, I highly recommend the Shark AI Ultra 2-in-1 Self Empty XL Robotic Vacuum, especially for first time users of the technology. It far exceeded my expectations and now saves me time and effort. And my house is in a more constant state of clean. Great, smart product.

Trying read the map to name the room is difficult. I can't tell which rook is which after it is done mapping.. So, I can't have it do one dedicated room I have to do the entire house. which doesn't always need it. Being able to understand the map a little better, or tracking it while it cleans to name a room would be extremely benificial.
