Homedics Total Comfort humidifier

We've had this humidifier for a few months and it has mold. It's hard to get to where the mold is and there is no way to take it apart to clean it. The description says mold and mildew will never be a problem well it is. I'm not comfortable using it like this. I've tried soaking it in vinegar and still nothing. I'm very unsatisfied with this purchase.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Impossible to clean

Literally impossible to clean. Theres a white piece sticking up out of it which makes it soo hard to clean unless using 50 q tips and take 30 min to meticulously wipe all of it off. I spent about an hour on thursday night wiping it down with water/vinegar solution using about half a box of q tips. I only run it at night (about 8 hrs). Its now monday evening i went to refill it and it looks like THIS again. After about 35 hrs of use. The directions say clean every 60 hours but after half that time its growing mold? If that white piece wasnt there it would b so easy to clean, just wipe it down. But nope. Very poor design. And theres a hole next to it which i still havent found a way to clean. Unless maybe getting super long q tips. Idk. it should not get this disgusting and be this hard to keep clean. Im about ready to throw it away. DO NOT BUY THIS unless you want mold and mildew diffused into your air.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are sorry to hear this. We recommend running a cycle of vinegar and water through the humidifier. Place a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water inside the water tanks and turn the humidifier on for about 30 minutes. You can then use a flexible bottle brush or pipe cleaners to help remove any residue. We recommend changing the demineralization cartridges in your humidifier every 30-40 fillings of the tank. If you continue to see a residue, you may want to use distilled water. High pitched hum/tone while running

Has a high pitched hum that is very annoying while operating. Maybe someone from HoMedics can advise me? Otherwise it works great.

Great Humidifier

I purchased this humidifier 3 weeks ago now and I use it every night in my two year olds room. Not only has she stopped waking up every morning with a dry nose to the point where it bleeds but its helped her sleep because of the essential oil feature it has. I love this! It quiet except for a little noise but it dose not bother her sleeping at all. There is a color changing night light as well that she loves. I recommend this 100% and anyone who says it gets moldy .... it's a humidifier people. You have to take the time to clean it. I do it every day and once a week clean with white vinegar! I have no problems with it at all!

Great humidifier for the price..

I’ve had my humidifier for several months I have been meaning to write a review, I am so pleased with it. I use it every night and have never had problem with it..never a problem with mold at all...clean it regularly and with a bit of water and vinegar every other cleaning. It runs quietly and the white light is not too bright to disturb sleep makes for a great nightlight..would highly recommend...

Nice Little Humidifier

I am really happy with this little guy! Easy to fill and operate. I like the night light feature and auto shut off when the tank is empty. It's perfect for a small bedroom. The aroma therapy tray/pad great as well. I put a few drops of lavender oil on I me of the pads and it filed my room with a relaxing fragrance.
The instruction manual is very easy to understand. I deducted one star because after 4 days of use the "Clean Me" light is already and I don't have particularly hard water. Overall I am very pleased and would recommend this product.

I bought this product a couple months ago. Thought it was just to dry in our house. Easy to clean and use and you can run it at 4, 8 or 16 hours. Also has a tray for essential oils. Has a button to change the colors if you want for nighttime purpose. It worked so well I bought another one for my daughter. Definitely worth the investment.!
