Beautiful, but needs better quality control!

I can't really give 5 stars to this turntable. I bought it just 3 days ago and discovered that the brass plate on top of the platter is warped at the periphery.
I'm going to contact Panasonic with a video of the defect and see if and how they respond to me. Hopefully they'll just send me a new platter after I show proof of purchase and provide a serial number.
Otherwise, the turntable is very well isolated from external vibration and has nice tonearm curing. Thev1200G-S also looks beautiful.
Technics needs much better quality control
I don't know how it could have passed quality control. The defect is also visually disturbing because you see a black crevice between the brass plate and die cast platter every single rotation.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

small wobble

I have this product since 7 years and I'm happy with the music presentation and performances. But there is a small defect in brass platter in the sense that it is not perfecly uniform in radius and seems to wobble a little bit; moreover the mat has the same defect in a slightly major extent. I think it is needed a better quality control.
