RV 795 Gets the job done

Love the RV 795. It lets me know when sharp curves are coming up prior to the road signs. Also the same with steep grades. I do wish there was a place to put in that you are towing a jeep. It only mentions towing a trailer.

Lost Satellite Reception

Currently have mixed feelings about this GPS. I bought this model because I drive for a Motor Coach Company PT. So the few times I go out of town I’ve used it The second time I used the GPS on the return home it kept losing Satellite reception.
I powered off twice entered the destination and maybe 10 seconds passed would again lose satellite reception. Used the GPS yesterday and it worked perfectly so I’m not sure.
I do like the updated features and how easy it is to locate destinations.
I’m hoping that this was a one time thing and will continue to enjoy the unit.

Inconsistent operation - could not use it.

I've used the Garmin 795 for a few days on our latest RV trip and I'm not very impressed. The routes for getting out of town are not the usueal ones you'd use. Once you're on hte road the major highways are generally correct but getting to a destination around a town is again suspect. The interface is difficult - took a while just to figure out how to get a route calculated. On top of all that, our 2nd day on the road it started dropping out an saying it lost power connection, but I just cancelled the message and it would come back. I used two different USB charging ports in my RV and it did the same thing on each one. Bottom line I could not trust it when using it to navigate - in case it dropped out and i missed a turn! I will be returning it.

Great mapping software. Links from Gatmin drive fantastic. Haven’t used the route planner yet. Wish there was integration with RV Life.

Worst Garmin I own

Bought a factory refurbished unit. Very inconsistent and looses satellite coverage. Bought for an upcoming trip. Very disappointed. Garmin quality seems to have taken a hit.

Best Garmin RV - Great new functions & ease of use

I bought it to replace my older Garmin RV 760. I also have a Garmin RV 890 that I use exclusively for my motor home. The new Garmin RV 795 has more function and ease of use that my Garmin RV890. I have been using Garmin GPS in my cars for over 20 years..
