I like having the camera is why I bought this model. I have an 895 that is easier to use with the magnetic mount. When I set it for RV it thinks I am an amateur and routes me around easy things to drive through. I often leave it on car so it does not do this. The mount is terrible for disconnecting either removing from the mount or pulling the mount off of the suction mount.

Micro SD chip didn't work, Window mount poor.

I bought this a month ago and discovered the included MicroSD chip did not work, I had to buy a new one.
This RV cam only comes with a windshield mount and there are no alternate mounts manufactured by Garmin for this unit. If I mount it on my RV windshield, it's too far away to reach and too difficult to see the screen.
I need a dashboard mount so the unit is close enough to use, but those all block the camera. This was a very poorly thought out design for RV use, I'm extremely disappointed.

Good but too sensitive

It works well for planning routes with our large rv, the touch screen could be a bit less sensitive at the edges, just adjusting the angle will cause the screen to go back to the previous screen and you have to start over. Irritating!

Almost perfect

Since this is an RV model, I expected it to be perfectly designed to fully support RV navigation challenges. It missed the mark by providing a choice in “Avoidances” for tunnels. Most RV travelers have compressed gas (propane) tanks on board that may be restricted.

Thanks for taking the time to write this review, JLMAC! The RVcam 795 does support adding propane info, which will help route away from roads that prohibit vehicles carrying portable propane tanks.

Not for a Class A

Garmin makes a great product and their reliability is fantastic. But I returned the RVcam 795 because it just didn't work for my Class A application. The mount is limited to windshield use only to not obstruct the camera and that places the screen and functional buttons 3-4 feet from the Driver. As a result the screen is too far away, as are all of the controls. This product may work in a Truck or Class B/C setup but it really wasn't ideal for a Class A. I searched for alternative mounts to place it on the dash and found none available. For my application a GPS and separate dash camera will work better.

Great unit

This was an upgrade from my previous Garmin RV GPS. Garmin did very nice job of adding features. Works great with no problems.
