The projector works great. The battery not so much

I used the battery base maybe 6 times within a year. The battery will not hold a charge. Based on all of the negative reviews, Samsung should recall this product and replace it with something that actually works.

I’m sorry to hear your Freestyle Battery Base is no longer holding a charge. We’d like you to check a couple of things to see if we can help resolve this.

1. Make sure you’re connecting the top USB-C port on the Battery Base directly to The Freestyle’s USB-C port. Your device may be damaged if the battery is not properly connected.
• The top USB port is designed to connect to The Freestyle & fast-charge external devices.
• The bottom USB port will charge the Battery Base & external devices.
2. Also, ensure the USB-C cable you're using is either the included cable or a Samsung-brand charging cord.
3. Check the battery level by pressing the button below the USB ports.
• If one LED indicator blinks, charge the Battery Base.
4. If there is dust or moisture in the charging terminal, charging may be blocked for device protection. Gently clean with a soft brush and try charging again.

Great, but...

Battery worked great until it didn't; stopped accepting charge ~18mo and Samsung refuses to provide warranty support.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It's unfortunate to hear of the issues you’re experiencing when charging The Freestyle Battery Base. Please check the following which may help resolve this:

- Confirm the charging cable is connected to the bottom USB port (IN & 10W OUT), as this charges the Battery Base. The top USB port (50W OUT) powers The Freestyle Projector.
- Make sure you’re using the adapter (EP-TA865) included with your Freestyle to charge.
- Try charging at room temperature or temperatures ranging from 32~95℉. If the ambient temperature is too high or low, charging speeds may decrease due to control measures to protect the device.
- Check the charging port for any damage, defects, or obstructions.
- Ensure the cable is properly attached with all contact pins intact.

Please also keep in mind the following usage conditions when using the Battery Base:
- The dedicated battery for The Freestyle can be used for a maximum of 3 hours.
- If the battery is used outside of normal usage conditions, the battery may be damaged, or the lifespan may be shortened.

Freestyle Battery

the freestyle batter was amazing for the first 24 hours it worked. stopped charging after that. i plan on trying it one more time since i love my freestyle projector. fingers crossed.

Worked great for a few months before no charge

Same as every low rating here. Worked fine (~2.5 hours) for a few months and now it just completely stopped charging. Contacted support, they 'escalated' it a number of weeks ago and nothing has been heard.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had no issues with this thing, from buying to setting up; it was perfectly uneventful! That is how I prefer setting things up, so A+ on that front. I recommend. There isn't much else to say; it's working great!
