I upgraded to iPhone Air from the 16 Pro Max. I was ready to move to a phone that was smaller/lighter after years of iPhones getting larger and heavier. A few of the things that I found appealing were a slightly smaller but still large screen, light but strong titanium body, and having pro-level performance.
A few thoughts after owning the device for some time:
-There was a tiny adjustment needed going from three cameras to one, but I rarely take photos that require anything other than the main camera so it was not a big deal. The photos are still incredibly detailed and the new front camera makes group selfies so much easier.
-The single speaker can sound slightly off with all of the audio coming from one side of the phone in landscape mode but it’s still great for FaceTiming, watching a quick video, and taking a call on speakerphone. Personally, I have always used AirPods or other devices for a more immersive audio experience.
-Battery life is good and sometimes even surprisingly long for how thin and light the phone is. It lasts an entire day and I never find myself sprinting to find a charger.
-The design is beautiful. Occasionally I find myself just staring at the phone admiring it. Not to sound too much like an Apple fanboy, but it truly does feel magical to use with the incredibly bright screen in such a slim profile.
While the Air does have some compromises compared to the full featured Pro devices, it’s a delightful combination of premium materials, powerful hardware, and a durable design. It is what I want my ideal iPhone to be but it isn’t going to be for everyone.
Battery life is just ridiculous. Speaker is terrible, camera is OK. The only thing going for it is the weight. This is not a serious phone.

This phone is great. Perfect for anyone with back neck and arm issues. I traded in the iPhone 17 for the 17 Air for the simple fact that it was much lighter and properly balanced in my hand. Does not feel like I’m holding a brick. It’s beautifully designed and same functions as the other iPhones. No need to worry about camera specs changing. Still takes lovely crisp pictures with one camera. All functions are the same. No loss it’s equal to the pro version in my eyes.
Great phone and great size with a very noticeable weight reduction compared to my previous iPhone 13 Pro Max!
I would recommend this to a friend!
