Measure your bowl!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had high hopes that the KitchenAid Secure Fit Pouring Shield would fit my older model KitchenAid mixer but it is a little too big. My model (KG25H7X) is a lift stand with a 5 quart metal bowl. However, the diameter of the top of my bowl is 8.5 inches (measured from outer edges) and it appears this attachment is over 9 inches wide. It will still sit on my bowl and allow me to pour in ingredients from the side which is wonderful but the tabs don’t “snap” in and therefore it isn’t a “secure fit.” It is nice that it is dishwasher safe (top rack).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A perfect fit. Makes adding ingredients a clean and easy process. No more splashing of liquids and dry ingredients. Wasn't included with the refurbished Series 600 Pro. Glad I purchased it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall this is a great product and makes a good addition to my KitchenAid accessories.
It arrived just in time for Christmas cookie season,so got plenty of use.
My children have started to help bake and this shield makes it safer and easier for them to pour in the ingredients. No more messy counters and messy mixer.
It fits securely on to my mixer and easy to install.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you have kids, you know that as wonderful as it is to cook and bake with them- it will be an even bigger mess to do it with them vs alone! My daughter always gets flour all over the counter when we make pancakes and cakes! But once we tried using this shield it greatly decreased the amount of ingredients on the counter! Finally we got more flour into the mixer instead of on the floor. I found it to be a success! Easy to snap on as well.

Buyer beware

Doesn’t fit my 5,5 qt bowl. I seriously don’t understand why my new mixer didn’t come with one. I have bought stand mixers as gifts many times and they all came with pour shields. And also received one as a gift and that one had a pour shield. And now I just purchased my new stand mixer and then I had to buy myself this pour shield. I always held Kitchenaid stand mixers to be above and beyond but now I’m rethinking. This pour shield is a struggle to put on the bowl and my bowl is on the smaller side of what this should fit. . Unfortunately I’d rather struggle than get batter all over my walls. As far as I’m concerned Kitchenaid doesn’t deserve more than 1 star. Why would a company with a stellar reputation ding their reputation?
