[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pastry beater is a great addition for the Kitchen-aid mixer. I used it to make a batch of tea cakes and the dough was beautiful. It kept my hands free and I love the additional scraper that’s included - It works much better than some others that I have. I can’t wait to try additional attachments. This is such a wonderful addition to my baking pastimes- absolutely love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife and I love to make homemade pastries and this make it so much more easier. She loves not having to mix the dough up by hand as she is getting older and not as strong as she used to be. You won't regret buying this little guy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was accustomed to using my handheld pastry blender to cut butter into pastry dough, mix biscuits and cookie dough. Yet, since I recently retired, I am spending more time in the kitchen building my pastry skills, and delivering on friends’ and my family’s requests for more homemade bakery treats, so I was excited to learn that KitchenAid produced a pastry beater for stand mixers. I wanted to try a new way to create quality dough with less effort to add to my baking and cooking enjoyment, and I trust KitchenAid to produce the right and best tool. For my first attempt, I followed the “Quick Start Recipe” printed in the booklet enclosed in the Pastry Beater box, and was delighted that the ingredients, instructions, and Pastry Beater performance worked together to produce a light, flaky crust for my pie. My family praised this first of the season Honeycrisp Apple Pie, and the tender biscuits and tasty scones I made using the pastry beater in subsequent creative baking sessions. The beater design works beautifully to cut cold butter into flour, creating consistent small pieces quickly to prevent overmixing pastry doughs, and I am thrilled that it also worked to shred pulled pork and mash avocados for guacamole. I highly recommend the KitchenAid Pastry Beater as a must-have stand mixer accessory.

GRAY STREAKS in my batter

I have discontinued use because it leaves gray streaks in my batter. Have tried to reach Kitchen Aid, but the chat is not available, I have called only to be told it is closed during normal business hours. I call over and over again, one person agreed with me and transferred the call to get it resolved, only to hear that it was closed. I wait on hold for hours. Now I am being told that because it is out of warranty, I can't get replacements. I know they are being slammed, but this is ridiculous. GRAY STREAKS
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
