Solid watch

Bought to replace an older Forerunner 945. I like that it is slightly smaller, and it has all the features that I used in the more expensive model. The main difference is battery life with this one - noticeably less. But, it works for a full day of recording an activity before needing recharge. I also like that this newer model tracks HRV.

Swimming data

I've had my Garmin 255s for about 3 years. I am a swimmer. Recently, 3 times, it has counted swim calories an remarkable amount of 10 to 12,000 calories for a 2500 to 3000 yard swim!
I disconnected the phone and reconnected through the Garmin app. It works correctly for several weeks, then I have to repeat.
Also, it tracks my route when Hiking or walking, but also didn't record that data when I hiked 6 miles at the Grand Canyon in June.
It is accurate with my heart rate.
I'm open to resources, and kind suggestions. Thank you

This watch is capable of so many things! From fitness tracking, to work outs, swimming, receiving notifications, to sleep tracking! I absolutely love mine and the smaller size fits my wrist perfectly. I've accidentally hit the fave of the watch many times, and the glass seems impenetrable! No scratches or cracks!

This watch has helped me tracked all the way to a 50 miler. Can't wait to test on further distance. Also great at tracking and suggesting strength workouts.

Stopped working after a year

I enjoyed using my 255S for about one year but it started crashing. I have tried rebooting, software updates etc. After each reboot it works for a couple hours and then stops. Would have expected a more durable product, very disappointed.
