Love the quality of High Sierra back packs. I use mine for work as a teacher who works out of several classrooms. Would prefer the front pouch be divided for all those little things that are part of my mobile teacher desk.

This is a great streamlined backpack. My son uses it for high school. the only issue is the main compartment is just big enough for his 3 binders and a few folders and nothing else. His laptop fits comfortably in the back compartment. When he brings his lunch he has to carry that separately, but he'd prefer it to fit in the backpack

I bout got this backpack about 2 years ago, and about a year in the straps already started to wear and not hold their form. I liked all the storage space, especially for my laptop and ipad for school but it overall did not hold up well. The straps also caused my back to hurt a lot, which I hadn’t realized until I took it on a flight and my shoulders and back were killing me, even though my backpack was not full. Overall I had higher hopes because one of my friends likes High Sierra, but I think especially if you have shoulder or back pain ever I would not go with this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
