[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m on the second one in 2 years. The first one leaked and ruined my kitchen floor and cabinets. The second one makes unhealthy noises 24x7 and within a week of delivery had a tech out for a service call because the freezer was frosting up. They slathered silicone all over the inside of the freezer to “fix it”. Not a great experience, stay away and spend your money elsewhere.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Produce drawer freezing everything in it!

Can someone please tell me why the produce drawer FREEZES all my produce?? Temperature set at 43 degrees and still freezing everything in the drawer. Unit is less than one month old.

Like it but problems

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For such an expensive appliance, we did not anticipate 2 repairs within 6 months. I still don't understand why the one shelf has a metal strip on the front that detaches nor why the top drawer in the freezer does not close all of the way. I would recommend it because for built-ins, there are few choices.

Excellent appliance except for the ice maker.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We owned the previous version of the 42" built in for 20 years with minimal issues. so when we needed to purchase a new refrigerator we decided to stick with KitchenAid. Features, finish, look are very good. Unfortunately the unit does not produce ice as expected. Since we purchased the ice maker unit was replaced and ice making has improved slightly but it still never fills the bin to the sensor level. We made a point of not using ice until the bin was full -- which according to the manual should happen in 3 days. After a full week (of buying bagged ice from the store) the bin was only 1/2 full. If we were to have guests over for drinks we would run out of ice. Given the cost of the unit it is amazing to me that the ice making functionality does not perform as expected. Attached picture represents ice level after 5 days - without using any ice from the refrigerator.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Doesn't work - avoid

The ice maker stopped working after 2 weeks. Spent a ton of money on this. Got all parts replaced. Whirlpool/kitchen aid refuses to replace product. it has been 9 months.

Love our new Refrigerator

This refrigerator is a lemon

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had this over priced refrigerator for 2 months and have had problems with it since day 1. The ice dispenser leaks when using the water dispenser, the freezer doesnt freeze, the refrigerator has not maintained the displayed temperature, the vegetable and fruit drawers are freezing. We have contacted the distributor but have not been able to get any action on replacing this poorly functioning unit. It looks nice though.
