Great looking device with sub-flagship specs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Flip 4 with a bit of trepidation but eventually understood the appeal. I got used to the form factor and unfolding, folding the phone has become a muscle reflex almost. Cover screen does the job of showing notifications and basic info. Main screen is excellent for watching videos or just daily tasks. Aspect ratio of the main screen was another thing I was concerned about, since it is a taller than normal display but it only made the experience better. Cameras has lot of room left for improvement. Wide and ultra wide photos are decent, nothing exciting and gets the job done. Front camera is good enough for occasional selfies and video calls. Video recording is also mediocre. One UI 5 features make the whole experience better with the flex mode, swipe to split screen, palm swipe for screenshots have become staples in my daily usage. Fingerprint scanner in the power button has been quick and accurate. Screen protector on the main screen had started peeling off from the hinge area after few months of usage but it was replaced for free under warranty and it looks brand new now. Overall, if you just need a cool looking device with great performance and features, Flip 4 should be an easy choice. Mobile data and WiFi speeds have been consistent and great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love using this phone as my daily driver , it is the best, but the cameras are lacking and I want a better battery life, overall this phone holds well and there are many cute cases for the flip 4 that will turn heads.

My Z Flip4 had to be replaced after just a few months! My daughter-in-law's Z Flip4 has torn up twice! DO NOT PURCHASE!

WILL CRACK THE SCREEN AND BREAK THE PHONE

Fine if you're okay with having a phone for a year TOPS. I bought this new maybe a year ago and since then the screen protector AND THE SCREEN has cracked and ruined my phone. Theres a black screen spreading from the inner fold, the actual screen is bubbling, the entire top half does not work, and the bottom is spazzing. NO reason to get this phone. Sure the storage and layout was fine but so is every other phone on the market these days with a price like this. They will not take accountability for the screen fold being a manufacturing problem and you will be left with nothing. DO NOT PURCHASE, just get a regular samsung.
PS I had an excellent case and would carefully clean and care for my phone and the screen protector. It felt like a ticking time bomb as I watched it crack more and more. Just not worth anything.

Three week life-span

Before committing to this phone, I read all the reviews; people either loved it or hated it, so I took my chances. Mine didn't fall, it didn't break, it simply stopped working. One minute it was in my pocket, the next, I'm taking it out to take a picture of my kids Track and Field team, and I couldn't "turn it on"; the folding part of the screen just gave out. As recommended, I didn't remove the protective sticker, so all I could see was a black screen and line bubble formed along the fold. It had been a warm, day, but not necessarily warmer than usual, and I've had other phones on warmer days that haven't simply given out. So, I gave it a few minutes, thinking it was a minor glitch, but it wasn't. Eventually, the screen did momentarily come back to life, but a bright line appeared down the middle of one of the folds, it flashed, then it went black again, for good.
Before this, I was really impressed with how well the screen folded and displayed crisp images; I will not be replacing it with another Flip4.
