New feature totally worth it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This air mattress is actually pretty cool. When I saw it was an air mattress with a headboard, I thought it was the weirdest thing... because come on... a headboard for an air mattress?! But I have come to find out that it makes total sense and I actually ended up totally liking it. The headboard and mattress are all one piece (which means you can't have the bed without it). It doesn't take up really any extra time to blow it up. It does require electricity to plug into so it can inflate. The design for the valve to inflate the air mattress is new, and is more user friendly. When it's done airing up, you just pop the cord back into it's hole and that way it's no longer a tripping hazard.
The material is made of the same material they have been. Just remember that during its first use, it has to stretch out the fabric and then you should be good to go. The head board is also the same material, just at a perpendicular point. I dont know if people put forth the effort to put a fitted sheet on these anymore, but you can do it with this even with the head board. My only recommendation is that you might want to stop airing it up halfway through, add your sheet, and then finish.
I also love that this air mattress is taller than some of the ones I have seen. I dont feel like I will be on the floor within the hour. We have used this in our tent (thanks artic blasts 1 and 2) and it takes up a little extra room (due to the height of the headboard) but overall we love it and are thankful to have it (and it keeps our pillows from falling off that way!)

The DuraBeam "technology" is a game changer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Intex Queen 18" air mattress with headboard has been a welcome (and wonderful!) addition to our temporary apartment living. I had it setup and fully inflated in less than 10 minutes, only 5 to inflate which is incredible. I did have to fumble around to get it closer to an available outlet since the cord isn't very long but that just pushed me to finally go through the last of our still packed boxes lol. There is a slight vinyl type smell but not enough that it irritated my sensitive nose, and after I put linens on the mattress I couldn't detect any odor at all until I deflated it this morning (the "exhaust" during deflation is quite stinky) I didn't have any issues with my queen deep pocket sheets fitting or staying put, and my standard queen comforter didn't have too much overhang puddling on the floor.. perfect fit. After being setup for over 3weeks I haven't noticed any major leakage or loss of firmness at all. The flocked top helped keep the fitted sheet(and me lol) from sliding around during the night and I didn't get overheated like I do with the mattress topper on our regular mattress- which really surprised me.
We actually prefer sleeping on the Intex rather than our traditional mattress set, it's been that comfortable and supportive. The height is so much better than the old air mattresses from my childhood, you don't feel like your on the floor at all. And it's been great for our 70# shepherd mix that couldn't jump up on our regular bed... she's loving it also. After I needed to take it down this morning to move it into the spare room while my daughter stays with us I didn't have any problem getting it deflated and into it's AWESOME storage bag, so easy to carry and doesn't seem as heavy as it was in the box. We've decided to use this air mattress as an everyday guest bed set up and ready for company permanently. Definitely not the air mattresses my back and hips remember from my younger days- very thankfully lol. Awesome awesome awesome mattress, very pleased from my head to my toes :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this air mattress a little over 3 or 4 months ago and we absolutely love it. My fiance and I both work from home and have to use our guest room as an office and we were looking for an air mattress with a pump built in and ran across this one. It holds are wonderfully and doesn't lose much air overnight like other air mattresses we have used. Plus with it having a headboard it looks much more like a real bed when it's all made up.
I would recommend this to a friend!
