Not compatible with other twinkly strings

I already have a mixture of Gen 1 and Gen 2 twinkly strings and curtains. They can all synchronize together via the app. So the whole yard can be one giant light show.
This year I added the 10ft tree hoping it would synchronize with my existing twinkly system. Support has been contacted but I doubt this will work.
