It is a decent computer however the setup is quite cumbersome. The computer has yet to work with Teams and has been to the Geek Squad four extended times, Other programs stop functioning and need to be "Found" and reset up. I travel 220 plus days a year for construction projects all over the country and this computer has caused me to spend numerous hours either total frustrated or standing in the store. I am self employed and will not buy another one. I have missed numerous Teams meetings with Clients because this will not even allow me to use the web. Add in the loss of other programs that simply STOP, Freeze. I carry now this and my old apple to merely get a days worth of work done. LOL I tell the truth and I cannot finish survey, so do not believe the online because if the program lets them get past this point it is more then three (3) star less you are locked!!! That "lie" alone will keep me from ever buying this $1300 boat anchor.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I won't be able to WOW anyone with my knowledge of the interworking's of this laptop or any PC or laptop for that matter, however, I can share my opinion as a non-tech user. It's been quite a while since I've needed to shop laptops, as my old, bulky, slow 17" Dell was getting me by. I am primarily a workstation guy anyway. The need did finally come that I needed to add mobility to my business, plus if for no other reason... I was spending WAY to much time in my office.
This is the needs list I put together for a laptop. 1. 15" or greater for screen 2. i7 Intel processor (latest generation that I could afford) 3. SSD as big as I could afford 4. Lightweight 5. Touchscreen 6. Good battery life 7. Numerical key-pad 8. Backlite key-pad 9. Use as a tablet (2 in 1) 10. Multiple high speed USB ports 11. Budget: $1000
The Lenovo Yoga 7i nailed it. This was an off the shelf build, nothing customized. As I recall there are several versions of this laptop with several build options, so if you find yourself shopping, be sure to make your list of wants and needs. Not all Yoga's are alike.
To date, I can easily say this laptop has knocked it out of the park for my needs. Powerful & lightweight, this laptop is a joy to use. I have never owned a touchscreen PC. Now I'll likely never have a non-touchscreen PC. The 2 - 1 feature is incredible. I purchased a pen and look forward to exploring the additional functions and use capabilities the pen will provide. A few user items. I have not loaded this laptop up with a ton of software. The purpose of this laptop was to allow me to cut the tether to my office. I can run my business remote, but leave the heavy lifting to my workstation. If your needs include any type of gaming... beats me how this laptop will perform. I will say I'm very pleased with the screen resolution and have on a few occasions used it to watch movies.
Great job on this laptop Lenovo. This is my first tech purchase from this company and so far I am impressed.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love it. It’s a great computer. I use it for writing and art and it’s much faster than my outdated unit.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the size of the screen and the resolution. I also really like that I can unlock it with my finger print. The battery life is decent. I also like how loud it goes. The sound quality isn’t the beast, especially when I compare it to my old Lenovo, but you only really notice it when you first use it. Once you get used to it it’s fine.
