[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A great update from my Gen3 Yoga X1. Screen clarity is astounding at the price point. Speedy on boot. Great options. Case feels nice and sturdy. Only downsides are that the battery life is a little skimpy and the SD card reader makes the SD card protrude from the case.
The device is slim, sleek, and lightweight for its size. This makes uses for the laptop super flexible.
When it comes to performance; the cooling and processor are a perfect match, giving you more performance than you’d expect in a laptop of this form-factor. Even more so, the high resolution and beautiful colors of the display are stunning, in combination with the modern chipset.
The one downside with this version (8gb ram) is that when you have a memory intensive load, the processor has to compensate by reading a writing large amounts of data to free up space. This creates frequent and audible ramping in fan speed while the processor usage shoots up.
As long as you’re not doing software development, or very intensive games, I’d recommend this laptop. With high performance, quiet operation, and beautiful 2-in-1 display, there’s not much that can compete with this device if you find it on sale for even just $100 cheaper than retail.
Lenovo does it again...but even better! Third Len!
