Save your time and money and buy something else

I bought this a month ago and just received it today. My initial thoughts are that it runs hot and the fans are pretty loud. When using it pretty heavily the top of the chassis gets warm and the bottom definitely does too. Then I started to dig into the graphics of the machine and come to find out that you cannot disable the integrated graphics and use the discrete graphics (DGPU) solely by itself. You can however go into the BIOS and disable the discrete graphics. I would have never bought this product had the product page explained the DGPU could only be used for certain apps and you have to set it in Windows 11. Also Windows 11 is trash. The laptop is also heavy. I weighed it on my postal scale and it was 4 lbs and 12 ounces. My HP Envy 15.6 from 2018 only weighs 4 lbs 7 ounces. The speakers are also pretty bad and sound worse than the ones on my Android tablet. The display is beautiful and the overall construction seems pretty good. The charger is a brick style it just has the USB C plug on the end so it seems a little silly to have USC C charging if you're literally just changing out the end of the cable and still have to lug around a brick. The fingerprint reader works really well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

issues with new lenovo

I love the computer (I owned a previous version which I also loved) but the touch screen doesn't work and while setting it up last week, my son noticed a crack in the screen. Not sure if it was a shipping issue - it hasn't left the house since it arrived so no chance it was jostled.

7 or so days after purchasing the computer it refused to boot, necessitating a return to the store where purchased. It could not be functional, so we traded it in (for a new one, same brand and model) as it was still under the stores 2 week return policy.
