Screen and speed are to die for, clear setup and bomb proof configuration and recovery.

Excellent, laptop! I had a good idea what I was buying but, was a little surprised by the weight but that's a minor issue as it is a desktop replacement. memory and ssd are good and quite responsive and can tackle most task more than adequately, The screen is brilliant and more than keeps up with games (MSFS) and video software tasks. All in all I am very pleased with the machine, I should have opted for 32gb mem but that's a should have! No real issues, could do with less bloat ware and bundled apps. A high 4.5 stars.

Great specs out of the gate
NOT soldered ram, so easily upgradable
2x M.2 slots (one populated) so more upgradability
Screen is fantastic (but glossy, so something to remember)

No RJ45 LAN port, luckily i have a usb-c adaptor
Screen only opens to around 40deg, so doesnt go all the way back
During gaming or any intense workload the top face nearest the screen get can VERY hot. Too hot to touch even.

Theres a lot of power in a small space here, and i think more care could have been taken to ensure the heat stays away from where the users fingers/hands may be, that said, its not somewhere you wouldrest your hands so just to be aware of.

Bought this powerful laptop in Nov 2022 when HP offered sale incentive (inc. care support package) to replace my old all in one HP23. So far very delighted with performance, stunning display and availability of ports such as 2x USBCs where I can power an external monitor and also benefit from RJ45 ethernet adapter/connection. The laptop being 16" is on the heavy side for being a truly portable device (you will need a 13" laptop), but this unit is very quiet with very cooling engineered cooling performance, so does not get hot. Connected to an external monitor, this is the ideal combined set-up for both working at home and being portable, however important to match the monitor display by selecting a monitor with correct aspect ratio. The Geforce card and spec of this laptop (16Gb, 2022 I7 12700h, Geforce RTX, arrays of ports, touchcreen display WQXGA (2560 x 1600) etc.) is extremely competitive and great for all sort of tasks. Coupled with the HP970 backlit keyboard, this is the perfect set-up. Truly recommending this laptop. Great HP product

I upgraded from an HP Pavilion - 15-cs3504sa because I found that the old laptop was unable to cope with Lightroom, Photoshop and large MS Excel and Word documents.
My new HP Envy 16-h0001na is able to cope very well with Lightroom and Photoshop saving me a lot of frustration! I do, however find that it tends to be a bit sluggish when loading the large Excel documents.

Was looking for a new computer and came across this. It exceeds my expectations and meets all my requirements and more. The only issue I have is being bombarded by McAffee to sign up with them from them moment I first turned on the computer. I detest in your face marketing but don't mind support and help. Mcaffee don't seem to have any of those skills

Bought it in Nov, a bit disappointed. Battery isn’t working as well and it drains faster than I expected and it feels like I’ll always need the charger nearby or keep the charger on all the time. The fan runs almost all the time even though nothing is blocking the airway.
The performance though is good. It responses really fast to every clicks. I do like the neat webcam shutter that I can control via a button on the keyboard. The keyboard light on the space bar doesn’t seem to be working though!
Overall, it’s quite heavy, heavier than I expected.
